"Mrs. Grant?" Evelyn couldn't quite believe her ears.
She realized that the entire company had already acknowledged Tiffany's status.
Back then, when she had devoted herself wholeheartedly to Lucas, neither he nor the people around him had ever acknowledged her. They all assumed she was deliberately misleading people about their relationship.
He had been so careful to avoid giving people the slightest false impression, such that he never even spoke a word to her at the company.
But when it came to Tiffany, he personally made it official.
Evelyn didn't respond to Jacob's words. But Justine couldn't hold it in any longer and blurted, "But I heard Mr. Grant has been married for quite a while already?"
Jacob was momentarily stunned before replying, "That must be a rumor. Previously, there were claims that Ms. Moore was the third party, but Bluezen's PR department didn't handle it well. Mr. Grant personally stepped in to clarify, saying Ms. Moore was completely innocent. He publicly defended her. How could there be a wife?"
Wouldn't that be a slap in the face for his wife? How could he completely disregard his wife's existence?
So, it had to be nothing but a rumor.
Evelyn lowered her gaze. It turned out that Lucas had personally stepped forward to clear Tiffany's name. He didn't want Tiffany to suffer even the slightest grievance.
But he allowed her, as the legitimate wife, to endure everything. He made sure that she swallowed her pain in silence.
He simply concluded that she had neither the right nor the courage to make a fuss.
Justine fumed. "Since Mr. Grant cherishes Ms. Moore so much, why aren't they married yet? Or is he simply incapable?"
Jacob chuckled. "I'm sure you can tell, right? Ms. Moore is a career-driven woman. She's not the type to just settle as a housewife. From what I heard, Ms. Moore has no plans to get married yet."
Evelyn thought that made sense.
Lucas treasured Tiffany so much. If she had really wanted to get married, he would've settled everything quickly.
Instead, it was Evelyn who had to file for the divorce.
Justine looked at Evelyn with concern.
Evelyn gently squeezed Justine's hand in response. She calmly shook her head. "It doesn't matter anymore."
After all, the divorce papers were already signed. Once the final formalities were completed, she and Lucas would become strangers once again.
Even though Justine had the urge to publicly expose Tiffany as a homewrecker, she had to consider Evelyn's situation.
She scratched her head, completely losing interest in the inspection. "I'm going to get the car. Once you're done, just come out through the main entrance, and we'll go home."
She was afraid she'd get a heart attack if she stayed any longer.
Evelyn nodded, her expression cool and calm. "Alright."
Once the material selection was finalized, Jacob wanted Evelyn to stay and go over the details with Tiffany. But Evelyn excused herself, saying she had some work to do at the company.
