Hearing those words, Nathaniel stiffened gawking intently at her, he wasn't sure what she was talking about even though he heard her.

"Revenge?"

"Yes Nathaniel"

He runs his hand across her face, searching for something he wasn't sure about in her eyes. Nathaniel wasn't sure who she was seeking revenge against yet in his heart, he was aware that it wasn't him. He may not be the perfect mate but he wasn't the worst either.

Ever since he revealed himself to her, he was been nothing but sweet and thoughtful. He agreed to whatever she wanted and complied with everything she said while staying close to her always. Nathaniel let her dwell in his heart, a place no one had dared cross.

"Revenge you say"

"Yes this is my revenge, everything I did was for revenge"

"Did I do something?"

"No"

"Did I hurt you?"

"Of course not"

"Is your revenge against me?"

"Of course not, how can you say that"

"I'm sorry"

"I would never hurt you"

"Oh please Alexandra, spare me that"

"I'm telling you the truth" she voices sincerely and for the first time, he couldn't doubt her words anymore.

"Who do you seek vengeance against?"

"I only seek vengeance against Adam Hawthorn and Olivia Guerrero" Alexandra was ready to tell him everything, she didn't want to hold back anything from him anymore, it was what caused this and she was going to put an end to it.

"Why do you seek vengeance against them? What did they do to you?"

Alexandra opens her mouth to say something but on second thought pushes it aside. She had a story, a heart-aching story that would end the misunderstanding between them and make Nathaniel fall right into her palms once again. He would love her even more and would never want to be away from her but she didn't have an explanation for any of this.

"They wronged me"

"What exactly did they do to you?"

"They hurt me, Nathaniel"

Nathaniel scoffed, he couldn't believe she would choose to withhold something from her yet again after all this while.

"Are you serious right now?"

"What do you mean?"

"We are mate Alexandra, do you know what that means?"

"Yes I do"

"No you don't, it means whatever troubles you also troubles me but it seems that you don't get that at all"

"I do"

"I doubt you do"

Running her hand through her hair, Alexandra wanted to tell him the truth, to let him know how she loved Adam in the past and how he destroyed her together with her family. But if she tells him the truth, Nathaniel would question how she came back to life and although Alexandra knows she was given the chance to live again, she couldn't explain the reason for her rebirth and decided to conceal it a little longer until she finds out the truth.
