The Rebirth of the Betrayed Alpha novel Chapter 133

The Moon rises above the clouds and Alexandra sits by the window, staring at the beautiful moon that shines brightly in the sky. A wave of guilt cast on her face. Adam wanted to destroy her, he made sure of it when he decided not to chase after her after she had escaped from the woods and she just realized it now.

"You played well Adam" she grimaces

Nothing can be used to describe the feeling, running her hand through her mind. Alexandra inhales deeply the familiar scent lingering in her nose, she could tell it was food. The door opened and Nathaniel entered.

"Dinner's ready"

Throwing a glance at him, she averts her eyes back to the moon.

"Sitting by the window all night won't get the moon to grant your wish"

"Will you leave me alone?"

"Dinner's down, you should eat something"

"Funny how you think I can stomach anything"

"You're recuperating, you need to eat"

Gazing back at him, she raises her brow. "Are you going to make me?"

"This isn't some prison Alexandra, I'm not going to force you to do anything"

Alexandra chuckles. "You're hilarious, one minute you tell me I can't leave and the next you declare freedom"

"Come eat"

"Not hungry"

"Is your favorite"

"You can throw it out or perhaps shove it down your throat Nathaniel, I don't care now leave me alone"

"I can't let you go to sleep without eating"

"Who said I was going to sleep?"

"Do you plan to talk to the moon all through the night?"

"That's none of your business since you kept me captive here"

"You are not my prisoner"

"This isn't freedom either!" She states aloud "This is ownership"

"This won't make me change my mind"

"I wasn't Intending for you to. I will figure my way"

Nathaniel walks nearer to her while locking eyes with her, he was still mad at her and she couldn't feel otherwise.

"You should step away from the window"

"Are you going to deprive me of that as well?"

"No, but sitting by yourself talking to the moon feels depressing"

"Is better than talking to you"

As he closes the space between them, Alexandra gets down from the window, moving away. "Don't crowd me, you suffocate me"
