The Rebirth of the Betrayed Alpha novel Chapter 138

Nathaniel widens his smile, hoping for this to be a nightmare that he could wash away by merely closing his eyes but reality hits him harder when he opens back his eyes and realizes he was still alone without Alexandra anywhere in the room.

"You're gone"

"You're gone" He states not minding who might be listening to him for he was in pain and no one could heal him from it aside from her.

"Just this once just appear to me" He closes back his eyes for a moment and opens them yet Alexandra wasn't there.

Nathaniel groans loudly, frustrated, he already knows that Alexandra was mad at him and had left to go back to Guerrero's pack to clear her name. She had a good reason for being mad at him but he couldn't understand why he couldn't bring his mind to make her appear like he often does.

"What's going on? Please help me" He clasps his hands together and closes his eyes for a long moment, trembling as he opens his eyes and she was not there.

His eyes widened and he glances around, scared. Deep down he had a feeling what this meant and that made him hate himself even more for letting it happen.

"Alexandra couldn't be…" He pauses unable to say the words lingering in his mind.

"She couldn't have…" Sweat covers his face.

The thought of losing Alexandra engulfs his body and Nathaniel couldn't hide his fear any longer. He may be a strong and one of the most feared Alpha but he couldn't help feeling this way.

She was his mate, the only woman he had claimed and loved, the only woman who never leaves his mind and makes him want to have his wicked ways with her.

"Alexandra" He paces back and forward, in thoughts.

A lot of things runs through his mind, he was scared that she was dead and the only people he had to blame for her death were Adam, Olivia, and Bernard. They are the ones who started this. The ones who hurt her and spread vicious rumors about her around the region. Nothing was going to stop him from ripping them apart if anything happens to her.

Stopping dead in his track, Nathaniel breathes out heavily, he couldn't let his emotions get the best of him now, that way he would know what happened to her, and then he would plan his revenge against the people who took her away from him.

"Alexandra please let me see you, just this once" He stares at the moon, hoping it will hear him and this time it did for Alexandra stood behind him, smiling at the man she was always fond of.

"I guess they have taken you away" He scoffs, blinking his eyes trying to hold the tears trying to brim down her cheeks.

"Given up so soon?" A lot of emotions run through Alexandra's eyes and she smiles. Nathaniel doesn't deserve to be in pain any longer, not after what she did to him.

Hearing the familiar words behind him, he stiffened, too scared to turn around for fear that she doesn't disappear right before his eyes. It will drive him insane if she fades away when he wants her to stay, that way he would know that she was somewhere waiting for him to come to save him.

"Are you going to gawk at the moon all night or are you going to turn and look at me"

He smiles, without a doubt that it was her. Nathaniel opens his mouth to say something but couldn't form the right words.

"Are you going to stand that way?"

He exhales trying to get his feet to turn around but couldn't.

"If you are going to keep ignoring me, would much rather be gone"

Nathaniel tries again to say something but couldn't. He had thought he would be happy by just imagining her but now he had realized that he wasn't her. Nothing was the same if he couldn't hold her while watching her beg him not to kiss her again.

Alexandra was a funny woman, the sort Nathaniel loved to have around him every day and night.
