The Rebirth of the Betrayed Alpha novel Chapter 176

Alexandra stared at Nathaniel's body. He was wounded but that didn't stop her from admiring him even more. His act of chivalry was something no one has ever done for her. Not in her past life nor in this one. Nathaniel made her feel something special: loved, caring and important.

When he touched her, he arouse something in him. Something Alexandra didn't quite understand until today. Alexandra trails her hand on the Nathaniel's face, his perfectly chiselled jaw was now covered in wound yet it didn't stop him from been handsome.

Alexandra exhales deeply glancing around the cell looking for something in particular. Her breath lodged in her throat as a guard approached her with what look liked raw meat.

He throws it and it passes through the bars landing on the ground with an annoying thump.

"Your meal" He said.

"How kind of you" Alexandra mocked and the guard glared at her.

If he had his way, he would slit Alexandra's throat together with Nathaniel, the moment they walked right through that cell.

"You should be glad, you're still alive"

"Touche" Alexandra arched up her brow at him. If it wasn't for the bars keeping them apart, she would have given him a taste of her wrath.

"You should be grateful the Alpha let you live"

"The Alpha?" She asked trying to rile him up

"Shut your mouth and have your meal"

"You call this a meal" Alexandra grinned. The grin of someone cooking up something evil.

"What is it?"

Alexandra picks up the meat, staring at the hideous looking meat, she flings it towards him and the meat sticks against his chest.

"Get lost" Alexandra scoffed and walked closer to the bars.

The guard chuckled. He attempts to take a step closer when Adam walked in. He quickly noticed the tension between them and dismissed the guard.

"You should be careful with what you do here Alexandra"

"You were so kind to let me eat"

"Of course, why wouldn't I? You are my guest"

Alexandra grinned. "Your guest" she glanced around the cell.

"Aren't you?"

"How portable. I don't remember guest staying held up in a cell"

Adam grinned, his gaze wicked. "You aren't those kind of guest who should be let to walk around"

"Are you scared?"

"Scared of what, you?"

"Are you scared that I might run"

Adam shook his head and straightened up. He approached the cell, holding the bars. His eyes telling her to dare and defy him then he wouldn't hesitate to rain down the anger simmering through him on Nathaniel.

He would definitely go for his throat, that way he could put his favourite mug against his blood so he could have a taste of it.

"I'm a werewolf Alexandra. Do not under estimate me"

"And so am I" she planted her hands on her hips.

She was going to push him further, that way she could get to the bottom of what he did to Nathaniel.
