"What did you just say?"
"That your mate is as good as dead"
Alexandra clenched her teeth. "You should be glad this bars are keeping me away from you else I swear to you that you would have been buried next to your poorly departed guards" she tucked the strand of hair behind her ear making sure that he looked right in her eyes while she spoke to him.
Adam studied her, the lines on her face was evidence that she wasn’t bluffing. Alexandra meant every word she had said to him and he would only find out once he lets her out.
"Don't get too worked up. You will need that strength when we meet the pack" Adam roamed his eyes up and down her body. Alexandra made him jealous, he has never been jealous of anyone and to top up the list. She stirred up something in him. Anger, jealousy, passion, just about everything else.
But that was all it was ever going to be. He had no intention of chasing after her especially as he was already aware that he is no match for Nathaniel.
"What did you do to him?"
Since he had brought up Nathaniel, Alexandra thought it was about time to ask him what exactly he did to her mate.
"What do you mean by that?"
Alexandra moved closer towards the bar, her gut instinct told her he was already aware of what she was asking about. But Adam will always want to play games, that was his specialty.
"You damn well know what I'm talking about"
"Do I?" He arched up his brow. He wasn't about giving up on his secret. No one was ever going to find out that he had met a witch. No one was going to find out about the spell they casted. No one was ever going to find out how he had weakened Nathaniel, how he made him powerless.
Everything he had done to get to this point in life, the price he had to pay and the gains he would have once he becomes the Alpha.
"Why is Nathaniel not healing quick Adam Hawthorn?"
"Oh that." He said nonchalantly
"Yes that. What is it that you did to him?"
"He brought that upon himself" Adam grinned. His eyes wicked.
"What?"
"If only he didn't get so nosy then none of this would be happening. He would be in crimson clan leading his pack while you will be here with me. Stuck in here"
"You are insane" Alexandra banged against the bars and Adam laughed. It was amusing seeing her that way.
"Really? What about you?"
Alexandra tapped her foot on the ground impatient, angered. Those bars were keeping her away, it was stopping her from hurting Adam.
Although she wouldn't hurt him and it won't take a long time before his guards arrived but she could have the pleasure of doing a lot of damage to his face.
"Do you know who you should blame for what happened to him?"
Alexandra glared at him. She already had in mind what he was about to say. He was about to push the blame to her. To make her feel bad and think about killing herself. But that's not going to happen.
She had only one man to blame and he is Adam Hawthorn, the wrecker.
"Yes I do. Is you"
He shook his head. "That's not true, is you. You led him here, you trapped him here with you and so in here, you will watch him die"
