He turned around to leave.
"Can I ask for water"
Adam nods his head. She watched a whistling Adam walk away until he disappeared around a corner. At least he was kind enough to let her have a drink. She was thirsty but that's not all she wanted to do with the water. Alexandra runs her hand through her dishelved hair. Nothing felt the same without Nathaniel by her side. Unlike Adam, Nathaniel was her dream. In the past she had thought Adam was who she wanted but now she was sure it wasn't him. No. It has never been him.
With Nathaniel, they constantly nagged at each other, he was a scary Alpha to the world but to her. He was the sweetest thing and she couldn't get tired of seeing her face. Not ever.
He made her come alive and yet brought out the worse in her. She sighed suddenly and sat down, her butt landing on the ground. Everywhere was quiet. She frowned as a sense of disquiet engulfed her. Prisons wasn't meant to be quiet especially the Guerrero prison.
Although she never visited the prison while she lived in the mansion with her family. She heard tales, those takes weren't just made up. They were true stories about how the Alpha's who ruled the pack captured and conquered rogues and wild werewolves who try to revolt the Alpha.
They would challenge them, sometimes to a duo and other times, they will try to start a war. When the are captured. Prison was the only safe place that could hold them.
While most were executed for trying to ruin the Alpha and create a sense of instability within the pack, others were thrown into the prison. It was called then: the place of fury.
There was rumours that no one had escaped this place in the past, while others lamented such story to be absurd and of no origin. Alexandra believed the prison once held dangerous werewolves. At least she had met one when she was a little girl.
She had returned from school that day once to see the guards dragging the bald scary looking man away. Alexandra shook the feeling off. That memory hunted her every night till she passed on to her teenage age. She still remember the scary look in his eyes, the terror. It hunted her and even at that time, she felt as though he would come back to take her.
She had asked Bernard what he did but he never responded. Alexandra though had over heard him telling Veronica that the hunter had been hunted down. So Alexandra had come to realise that he was the notorious rogue who hunted down werewolves. He ate them, at least that was the words on the street and even though she wasn't entirely sure if he really ate them. Decapitating their heads and bulging out their eyes. Alexandra noticed something off about him that day, his smell. That was blood, it couldn't be anything else. From that time, she never wanted to visit the pack prison.
Although now, it wasn't out of fear anymore. It was just the smell, the darkness and the fact that she couldn't stand those werewolves who tried to revolt the Alpha.
Deep down, Alexandra also knew that not everyone who was held in this place was entirely guilty. At least she heard stories about her father unjustly throwing some werewolves into this place. Although she never got the reason why he did, Alexandra suspected it maybe to cover his own crimes.
She cleared her throat and it echoed through the cell. Prisons are never quiet. At least that's what she's been told. But how come there wasn't anyone around.
Alexandra eyes widened, she had not noticed at all. She had been so lost and engrossed in tricking Adam into spilling out the truth that she forgot one of the important thing that led her here in the first place: Her mother's relation.
Alexandra glanced over, attempting to stand up when footsteps approached accompanied by whistling. She got up knowing the guard was getting a drink for her.
"Here you go" The guard gently dropped the drink on the ground.
"Thank you" Alexandra said, studying the lines, every crease on his face. He was one of the nice guard, a young and charming man. Whom Alexandra assumed was working for Adam just to get away from his family.
"I haven't seen you around before"
