It was unnaturally silent in the dining room. 

It was so quiet that people could have heard a pin drop. 

No one spoke, moved, or even picked up their forks.

Yohannes said too much. But Madeline didn’t know his schedule so she didn’t doubt anything. 

After dropping Yohannes off, she drove to Japrium University and found a restaurant nearby to have breakfast 

She walked around and noticed a nicely decorated shop called “Eggplant,” which she found rule. 

Madeline went inside and sat down.

Madeline looked up at the boy and asked, “Are you a student at Japrium University?” 

The boy looked innocent. It was common for students to work part–time at stores near the campus. It was easy for her to tell apart the full–time staff from the students doing a part–time job,

Many students who wanted to apply to Japrium University wanted to travel to this city.
