Henry was standing by his car at a corner outside the Caleb residence. 

A pile of cigarette but was at his feet. 

With one hand on his forehead and the other holding a cigarette, he took a long drag on the cigarette. 

Not far away, Hazel turned away and said to Yulissa, “Yulissa, I still want to keep an eye on this guy. He’s Ms. Larson’s brother. He doesn’t seem a good person” 

“How did you know!” Yalissa asked, slightly puzzled, still carrying the groceries that she had just bought, “He looks pretty patiful. He doesn’t seem a bad person to me.” 

“You have no idea.” Hazel explained, keeping her eyes on the man outside, “Ms. Larson once had a really tough life and it was all because of these people! 

“When Ms. Larson was a child, she got lost and then grew up in an orphanage. She was later adopted by two nice people. But then her biological parents found her. 

“Her biological parents are actually very rich” 

“Isn’t it a good thing?” Yulissa seemed confused. “She was back to her family and they were rich. Shouldn’t she have had a good life from then on?” 

Hazel sighed, “Not at all!” She became angry. She knew the truth from the informants 

There were always informants hired by Caleb keeping an eye on Madeline. 

“It’s the Larson family. They were tricked by an imposter who not only stole Ms. Larson’s life but was very ruthless. Ms. Larson suffered a lot because of her 

“Her parents and brother favored that imposter so they treated Ms. Larson terribly. They were never fair. Honestly, this family’s awful.” 

Har sighed recalling Madeline’s injuries when she first arrived there. 

It had been pretty tough for her. 

Hazel said, “People like them don’t deserve other people’s sympathy. Even if they knelt down in front of Ms. Larson forever, they shouldn’t be forgiven. 

“But they’re just smoking here, polluting the air. 

“Ms. Larson is quite merciful to them. She only ruined their business instead of killing them.” 

Yulissa sighed, “Everyone here dotes on Ms. Larson. They adore her 

“How could her brother do that? Shame on them.” 

Hazel straightened her back/ “Ms. Larson is like a princess here. 

“If she marries Mr. Simmons, she will certainly have a carefree life” 

Hazel was on Caleb’s side. 

All of Madeline’s brothers were bad guys. Hazel hoped Madeline would eventually fall in love with her bow 

Not far away from the house, Henry flicked his cigarette butt to the ground and stamped on it. 

He was still waiting for Madeline 

He got into the car. He thought maybe Madeline had already returned or maybe she was 

was somewhere else. 

To Madeline, he was like a stranger. Naturally, she wasn’t obliged to inform him of her whereabouts.

The autumn ran was freezing.

He just watched the wipers swishing back and forth over the windshield, string in the car. Everything outside the car was blurry. 

Hacel reported everything to Madeline. Madeline drew the curtains in the bedroom, saw the

curtains.

Madeline was in her bedroom reading a script. It was comfortable hiding under the covers. She didn’t notice it when Henry left. 

Madeline rested her head on her palm, jotting down notes in the margins of the script, 

Suddenly, Madeline coughed a little. 

She felt her throat a bit itchy. She rubbed her nose. When it rained in the fall, the temperature would drop seriously. It was easy to catch a cold in this kind of weather 

She didn’t worry about it and went downstairs to pour herself some warm water.
