Amelie’s pale face finally turned red.

She spread haystacks on the ground and put the man down there.

“Thanks…”

Amelie was about to take off her wet clothes and warm herself by the fire, but suddenly

a familiar voice came from behind her. She stopped.

“You! You’re awake!”

Amelie turned around and stared at the man who opened his eyes.

Under the firelight, the man’s dark and deep eyes glowed with a charming light.

“Who are you? Why did you fall there?”

Amelie was puzzled and asked curiously.

The man didn’t intend to explain, but propped his arms on the ground, trying to get up.

“You are seriously injured. Don’t move.”

She quickly stood up and stared at the man who was trying to slander her with a resentful look.

“That thing is very important to me! You must return it to me…

The man was really weak. He fell again before he could finish his words.

“You are so ungrateful! I saved you, but treated me as a thief.”

Amelie was furious. She decided to ignore the man, not caring about his situation any

more.

Early in the morning, sunshine shone into the hut. Amelie opened her eyes.

The man on the hay next to her looked much better.

Last night, Amelie still dealt with his wounds and took of his clothes outside. She couldn’t be that cruel.

She couldn’t delay any longer. She had to go home as soon as possible. If those men in black were still searching for her, that was a bad thing.

Thinking of this, she hurriedly got up and raised her foot to put out the fire on the

ground.

Then she walked over to the man.

“Sir, you were lucky to meet me, so you survived. I can’t take you with me later. Hope you can take care of yourself. We will meet if there is a chance.”

After Amelie said this, she put on the dried coat and left.

After leaving the small courtyard, Amelie found a small path down the mountain. After walking for a long time, she saw a straight road.

She didn’t go back for a day and a night. Persumably, Lamont and Rex must be anxious.
