Chapter 275 See Leila
“We are poor here. Sorry.”
After the old man led them into the yard, he turned and left, preparing to call the village
doctor.
“Actually, I don’t feel any pain anymore, so no doctor needed.”
Amelie wanted to refuse, but was held back by Lamont.
“I know that you don’t want to trouble them. But he means kindness, so don’t refuse.”
After hearing this, Amelie had to give up.
When the old man brought the village doctor over, suddenly there was a bustling sound
from outside the yard.
“It’s not good, it’s not good, something happened to Mr. Reed.”
“What? Mr. Reed?”
Although Amelie heard what they said clearly, she didn’t understand who Mr. Reed was.
“Hurry up. Take the village doctor there!”
Everyone is in a hurry.
The old man also took the village doctor to leave.
“Girl, please wait a moment. Mr. Reed, the investor of our village, had an accident and
was seriously injured. He needs a doctor.”
Amelie immediately understood what they meant and nodded without thinking.
The old man thanked them with a grateful gesture. Then he turned around and was about to leave.
Amelie was a little curious and wanted to follow along to see the situation.
Everyone came to the village chief’s yard.
The village chief’s yard was clean.
There was a man on the bed in the main room. He seemed to have been seriously
injured.
The village doctor was treating him urgently.
“Why do I feel like I’ve seen him before?”
Amelie walked up and took a closer look, finding that the man was the one she met in
the mountains.
“You’ve see him?”
Lamont looked at Amelie curiously.
“Yes, I met him, when I was…”
Amelie briefly told Lamont about her experiences of being chased and falling down.
“So that’s the case. I’m sorry. It’s my fault.
Lamont felt a little guilty. He was even a little distressed that he didn’t take good care of
his wife.
“I’m fine. I’m not hurt. Don’t think too much about it.”
Amelie quickly comforted him for fear that he would worry too much.
About half an hour later, the village doctor came out in a hurry with an anxious look on
his face.
The village head on the side hurriedly followed.
“How is he doing?”
The village chief asked anxiously.
“I’ve tried my best. But he’s so seriously injured. We’d better send him to the hospital
soon for further treatment.
The village doctor wiped the sweat off his head.
“That’s troublesome. The only car in the village has been sent out. What should we do
now?”
At the side, Amelie heard their conversation. She suddenly thought of something and
walked to them.
“I can help.”
As she spoke, she looked at Lamont.
“We have a car. We can take him back to the town.”
The people in the village were immediately excited when they heard her words.
They went back.
It was the man lying behind the car.
Along the way, Amelie didn’t say anything. She looked at the scenery outside the window in a depressed mood. When she gradually saw the neon lights, she knew that they were about to arrive.
