Logan nodded while holding his cell phone. “Well, it’s fine as long as you’ve moved on. After all, it’s more important than anything else for you to feel comfortable about it. In that case, I’ll call Lorraine in a while. She has plenty of connections, so she can surely find some jobs for your mom.”
Ian smacked his lips. “I won’t be thanking you for this. The phrase ‘thank you’ sounds too polite, so let’s meet up for drinks instead when we’re free.”
Upon hearing Ian’s words, Logan replied in a different tone of voice, “Sure! No problem. Just take your little girlfriend with you and dress up nicely when the time comes.” After hanging up on Ian, he turned around and entered the house.
Sophia hurriedly said to Lola, “Hurry up and check Logan’s phone. Who knows if he was talking with a young lady on the phone? He even went outside to avoid us.”
Lola was not at all worried about Logan, though. “It’s okay. I know him too well. I’m the only one who can put up with his mannerisms, and no one else would take a fancy to him.”
“Hey!” Logan protested as he went over and pinched Lola’s cheek. “That’s sheer nonsense. I’m so charming that countless ladies are only too eager to throw themselves at me. Have you no idea that you’ve found a great guy for yourself?”
Lola simply couldn’t be bothered to talk to him at all.
Sophia commented at one side, “I’ve known Logan for a long time. To be honest, I have never seen any ladies around him. He merely fantasizes about it to comfort himself. Let me be honest with you as a friend, Logan—you’re not as popular with women as you think.”
Logan glared at Sophia and was about to speak when the latter continued, “But the fact that you’re unpopular with women doesn’t mean you’re not a ladies’ man. You’d better be careful, Lola. All men have to be guarded against.”
However, John somewhat took offense to Sophia’s remark, and he looked at her with a frown. “You don’t have to implicate anyone else while talking about Logan. What do you mean by including the words ‘all men’ in your last sentence? Are you trying to chide me in a roundabout way again?”
Sophia shot back with a snort, “Why do you keep applying my remarks to yourself? Or is there something about you that I should really be worried about?” Then, before John could speak, she deliberately drawled and said, “Oh, that’s right—you surreptitiously got in touch with Isabelle last night and even hid outside while talking to her on the phone. It was as if you were afraid that someone might overhear your conversation, hehe.” The chuckle toward the end of her speech was full of sarcasm.
John felt helpless upon hearing her words. “What do you mean by the word ‘surreptitiously’? Isabelle called me because she had something to ask me about. Wasn’t our son sleeping next to you at the time? I went out because I was afraid of waking him up. Why would you think that I have something on my conscience?”
Sophia couldn’t care less about that, though. She replied with a snort, “Whatever you say now is right, anyway. Who knows what you two were talking about on the phone at the time?”
Logan stared at John in surprise. “Is Isabella still in touch with you?”
John smacked his lips. “She said she had run into some trouble and would like to contact someone, but she had lost the person’s phone number, so she asked me if I had it. All I did was forward a phone number to her.”
Logan had a bad impression of Isabelle, so he automatically sided with Sophia when he learned that John was still in touch with her. He said, “That woman had designs on you in the past. Whatever her intention is right now, you shouldn’t have kept in touch with her. What would Sophia think about it?”
Sophia shot a glance at Logan. “It’s pretty good that you have such an awareness.”
“Mm-hm,” Logan replied. “It’s mainly because I’m seriously annoyed with that lady.”
John felt somewhat helpless as well. “It isn’t a big deal in the first place. If I keep fussing about it, it will seem like I’m unable to get over it.”
Logan replied confidently, “So what? I simply don’t want any dealings with her since she annoys me. Just look at me—Jasmine called me afterward, and I blacklisted her right away. It’s d*mn annoying. What’s the point of keeping in touch after breaking up?” Logan was really decisive when dealing with relationship problems. Due to his frank nature, Logan had a straightforward way of thinking and dealt with problems in an even more straightforward manner.

So what happens to Ian and Cindy. Is she/ or does she get pregnant? Do they go back to the city and Ian works with Logan? Does Aurora stay in the entertainment industry or return with Ian? Terrible ending, who cares if Aurora was drinking/drunk with colleagues. What happened with Ian and Cindy?!...
Get rid of Gary. Apparently Cindy is too dumb to figure out his motives 😡...
Why are you trying to break them up when they just got together and are a loving couple. Let them stay close and move back to their true friends, Logan, Lola, John and Sophia!...
Sure hope Ian pulls his head out of his behind and works this out with Cindy. His brother needs him at the company and neither one of them truly like the celebrity life. Sophia and Lola will love her …....
I can’t wait for John to take down the Bailey’s including Isabelle so he, Sophia, William and Matilda can live in peace. Introduce Yolanda to Richard so they are out of the picture....
Ugh, don’t break up Sophia and John… they belong together and Sophia is just stubborn for no reason...
Sophia lives John, he just needs to tell her he loves her and get on with their life and family. Too much interference from others....
Sophia is so stupid....
John needs to man up, tell his mother and Isabelle to take a flying leap and confess to Sophia that he made a horrible mistake in divorcing her. This story is taking too long and once again, the bitches are looking like they are on the right side. Awful...
