Chapter 1565 Aurora Is Doxed

After standing in the living room for a while, Ian turned around and went back to his room. Once he reached the door to his room, he turned his head and looked at the door to Cindy’s room.

He had read Cindy’s statement. He didn’t know if she had done it on purpose, but the statement had, in a way, called Yulia to account besides bringing those fake news accounts to account. Yulia was one of the persons involved, so why didn’t she step forward and explain herself despite knowing there was someone else present?

Ian didn’t give much thought to it before, but Yulia called him just now and explained that they had been revising her statement. It was a weak excuse. He didn’t believe that a magazine publisher would have this much trouble writing a decent PR statement, not to mention take so much time revising a statement again and again.

However, he also didn’t believe what was said on the internet about how Yulia had had designs on him and wanted to make use of this time’s incident to create a favorable impression for herself and make preparations for the future. His views were still the same as before—that Yulia might not take a fancy to him. She had worked together with many A-list celebrities and encountered numerous people with high status. Therefore, a nobody who had just come to prominence like him couldn’t possibly have drawn her attention.

With the aid of the half bottle of beer, he fell asleep not long after lying down in bed.

Ian was supposed to have a filming session on the next day, but he and Cindy received a phone call from the agency when they woke up early in the morning. The agency told them that the filming session today had been canceled and postponed, and told them to avoid going outdoors and showing their faces in public.

As soon as Cindy heard this, she knew immediately what was going on. Something must have been exposed on the internet again. After hanging up, she hurriedly looked it up online, and sure enough, that was exactly what had happened. The surveillance footage of the meeting between Ian and Yulia was found and released, and it revealed Aurora sitting next to Ian. The three of them behaved normally as they sat together and chatted. Yulia chatted with Aurora most of the time, whereas Ian took out his cell phone and looked at it every once in a while.

The entire surveillance footage revealed no hint of a love affair. In reality, this was a video meant to clarify the incident. But for the agency to take such drastic measures, this matter can’t be that simple, Cindy thought.

As Cindy had expected, she discovered the problem after googling it online. Aurora’s identity was exposed, along with how she had once been Bryce’s mistress in the past.

This piece of information was nothing new. In fact, this matter had been brought up over and over again back when Ian’s past was dug up. However, many so-called insiders suddenly popped up on the internet, saying that Bryce’s wife—Sean’s mother, in other words—died because she was pissed off by Aurora. They claimed that Aurora arrogantly kept forcing Bryce to divorce his wife at the time and even called his wife every midnight to shower all kinds of insults and abuses on her. Bryce’s wife was hurting in the first place because of Bryce’s infidelity, and she couldn’t take it anymore when even a homewrecker could sh*t on her. As a result, she fell ill and ended up dying in the hospital.

Cindy was stupefied at first when she saw these revelations. These details had never been mentioned before, so she had no idea whether they were true or not. Logically speaking, the revelations made by these so-called insiders did nothing to save Ian’s face; they vilified both Ian and Aurora instead.

By rights, if these insiders really wanted to spill the beans on Aurora, they should’ve come forward back when Ian’s past and background were dug up. After all, these people had no reason to go soft on Ian, so why didn’t they do anything back when they had an opportunity to ruin him in the past? This didn’t make any sense.

Cindy was a little frustrated since the situation this time was somewhat tricky. Not only that, but the matter this time was different from before. Sena and Linda’s previous claims were totally false, but these people had doxed Aurora this time. No matter whether it was true that Bryce’s wife died because Aurora had pissed her off, Aurora had indeed once been Bryce’s mistress. These insiders’ claims, which could be partly true and partly false, would indeed affect Ian.

When Cindy walked out of her room, Ian hadn’t come out of his room yet. So, she went over and knocked on his door, asking, “Are you awake?”
