Cindy did not usually keep herself informed on the latest movie releases, so she was not quite sure what the movie was about. Hence, she just nodded. "Sure."
Anyway, she and Ian were not picky about what to watch. Soon, the three people sat in the screening hall of the cinema, waiting for the lights to go out. Next, the big screen began to play the prologue of the movie, and at this moment, Cindy vaguely felt that they had made a mistake and should not have come to see this movie.
Although there were not many people inside the screening hall, all of them were couples. For example, there was a young couple sitting in the row in front of them, and they were entangled with each other once the lights were off. Although the light bouncing off the big screen was not too bright, the two people's romantic movements were still clearly reflected, and she only had to glance to know that the two people were kissing.
Feeling a little embarrassed, she continued to stare at the big screen. They had bought three seats in a row, and originally she had wanted to let Aurora sit in the middle, but the older woman insisted for her to sit in the middle. Hence, to her left sat Ian. She knew that he had also seen the couple in front kissing, so she felt even more embarrassed. However, Ian did not move a muscle, so she did not know what kind of expression he had on his face. She thought that most likely he looked the same as her and was also forced to pretend to be calm.
Behind them sat another pair of lovers, and the movie had just begun less than a minute ago when those two people began whispering sweet nothings to each other. Since there was no one else around, their voices seemed extremely clear, and Cindy could hear everything. She licked her lips, trying to continue playing dumb as if she had heard nothing. After five or six minutes, the couple behind them also began to get entangled with each other, apparent from their audible kisses.
At this point, Cindy was sitting upright, and for some reason, she felt guilty. Even though the ones behaving inappropriately in public were those behind her, she somehow felt secondhand guilt.
Aurora was focused on the screen at first, but after a while, she also noticed something was wrong. She turned her head and looked around, then lowered her voice, making tsk sounds. Then she whispered to Cindy, "These youngsters are so in love with each other.”
Hearing this, Cindy did not know what to say, as there was no way to refute, much less to agree. Next to her, Ian began to move a little and change his posture. He leaned in the direction away from the two people behind him; it was clear that he could not stand it too. Noticing this made Cindy feel even more uncomfortable. As Ian was leaning toward her in this direction, they were unquestionably too close to each other for her comfort.
Soon, the movie focused on some romantic scenes, showing the main male and female leads hugging and kissing each other. Seeing this, Cindy secretly sucked in a breath of cold air, feeling that this really was a mistake. It’s not appropriate for us to watch this kind of movie!
Even though there were people sitting to the left and right of them, those young couples were clearly not here to watch the movie. Instead, they were here for the thrill and excitement of the dark atmosphere inside the cinema.
While watching the movie, Aurora looked around her for a while, and what she saw prompted her to shake her head. Tsk, tsk! Youngsters nowadays are honestly amazing! This is indeed a rare sight.
On the contrary, Cindy felt uncomfortable all over, especially as she was sitting next to Ian. After ten more minutes, she could no longer stand it and slowly stood up. “I’m going to the restroom.”
Nodding, Aurora made way for her. As Cindy came out of the screening hall, she went to the restroom and washed her hands, after which she leaned on the sink with her arms crossed.
I’m here to solve a problem, not to start a romance.
Previously, she had already sent a message to Hannah, saying that she and Ian had gotten together and asked her what she was supposed to do next. Hannah did not explicitly say what to do but only told her to wait for news.
Hannah must be kidding me! When is she going to contact me? This wait already feels too long.
After sulking for a while, Cindy came out of the restroom. She had just walked out the door when she saw Ian standing at the entrance of the screening hall. He was leaning against the wall with his hands in his pockets and his head low.

The readers' comments on the novel: The Returning EX (John and Sophia)
Get rid of Gary. Apparently Cindy is too dumb to figure out his motives 😡...
Why are you trying to break them up when they just got together and are a loving couple. Let them stay close and move back to their true friends, Logan, Lola, John and Sophia!...
Sure hope Ian pulls his head out of his behind and works this out with Cindy. His brother needs him at the company and neither one of them truly like the celebrity life. Sophia and Lola will love her …....
I can’t wait for John to take down the Bailey’s including Isabelle so he, Sophia, William and Matilda can live in peace. Introduce Yolanda to Richard so they are out of the picture....
Ugh, don’t break up Sophia and John… they belong together and Sophia is just stubborn for no reason...
Sophia lives John, he just needs to tell her he loves her and get on with their life and family. Too much interference from others....
Sophia is so stupid....
John needs to man up, tell his mother and Isabelle to take a flying leap and confess to Sophia that he made a horrible mistake in divorcing her. This story is taking too long and once again, the bitches are looking like they are on the right side. Awful...
