Cindy paused for a moment and went to the balcony. She leaned against the guardrail and looked down, then she sneered. “Well, it looks like someone’s sticking around like glue.”
Ian and Aurora knew what she was getting at. Aurora quickly went to the balcony and leaned against the guardrail to look below. Sally was still standing right there, and it was pretty obvious, since there wasn’t anyone around. She turned around to Ian. “Hey, she’s still down there. Do you want to call Logan and ask his men to take her away?”
Ian laughed. No. Not for Sally. I don’t want to make a scene either. Ian leaned against the couch and crossed his legs. “If she wants to wait, then let her wait. I want to see how long she can keep this up.”
Sally was not the kind of person to beg. Even when she was caught and detained for a while, she had refused to change, so Ian thought she wouldn’t last long this time either. Honestly, money can really change someone for the worse, huh? Ian actually was impressed that Sally would fight against anything she didn’t like in the past. She used to be a hard-headed woman.
Cindy and Aurora were interested in the matter, and they observed Sally quietly, leaving everything else aside for the moment.
Lots of people had gone to the plaza or the park. Dusk was setting, and the street lamps were lighting up, but Sally was still waiting down there, as if she would not leave until Ian went down.
Cindy was amused and she told Aurora, “Actually, I really want to know what’s happening to Leah.”
With the ruckus she caused, there was no way the Morgan Family would take it well. Being the culprit, Leah must have been severely punished. Sally said Leah was beat up. I wonder if Mr. Morgan did it. But he’s too frail to cause any real damage even if he tried to.
Aurora snorted. “Not good, I bet.” She thought for a moment before suggesting, “Why don’t we ask Logan? He knows a lot of stuff. I bet he has some insider news too.”
Cindy pondered on the matter and thought Aurora had a point. However, neither of them could call Logan, so they needed Ian to help them out. And talking to Ian about this was Cindy’s job. Cindy hesitated for a moment, then she nodded at Aurora and went over to Ian.
Ian was playing his mobile game, as if he was unfazed by what happened earlier.
Cindy sat beside him and stared at the screen for a moment. “Wow, you’re great,” she praised. “I knew it. We’ve been dragging you down.”
Ian chuckled. He knew why Cindy was suddenly praising him, so he asked, “Do you need anything?”
Cindy pursed her lips and looked at him for a moment. In the end, she decided to drop the act. “I need to ask a favor from you.”
Ian grunted. “Tell me what it is.”
Cindy huddled closer and leaned against his arm. “Logan knows a lot about everything and everyone, right?”
Ian had just finished a match. He put his phone down and looked her in the eye.
She felt nervous for some reason, so she quickly put on a big smile.
Ian asked, “So, whose news do you want to know?”
Cindy tried to look as innocent as possible. “I’m really, really curious about how Leah is doing right now.”
Ian picked his phone up and texted Logan about the question Cindy had.
Cindy felt touched that he was being so agreeable, and she felt like forgiving him for keeping up the heat on her in the bedroom earlier.
Logan texted back quickly. He mentioned that he didn’t really keep an eye on what happened to Leah after that, but he could send someone to look into it right away.

The readers' comments on the novel: The Returning EX (John and Sophia)
So what happens to Ian and Cindy. Is she/ or does she get pregnant? Do they go back to the city and Ian works with Logan? Does Aurora stay in the entertainment industry or return with Ian? Terrible ending, who cares if Aurora was drinking/drunk with colleagues. What happened with Ian and Cindy?!...
Get rid of Gary. Apparently Cindy is too dumb to figure out his motives 😡...
Why are you trying to break them up when they just got together and are a loving couple. Let them stay close and move back to their true friends, Logan, Lola, John and Sophia!...
Sure hope Ian pulls his head out of his behind and works this out with Cindy. His brother needs him at the company and neither one of them truly like the celebrity life. Sophia and Lola will love her …....
I can’t wait for John to take down the Bailey’s including Isabelle so he, Sophia, William and Matilda can live in peace. Introduce Yolanda to Richard so they are out of the picture....
Ugh, don’t break up Sophia and John… they belong together and Sophia is just stubborn for no reason...
Sophia lives John, he just needs to tell her he loves her and get on with their life and family. Too much interference from others....
Sophia is so stupid....
John needs to man up, tell his mother and Isabelle to take a flying leap and confess to Sophia that he made a horrible mistake in divorcing her. This story is taking too long and once again, the bitches are looking like they are on the right side. Awful...
