Cindy couldn’t beor it onymore, so she turned ond left the word. No motter how indifferent people might oct regording deoth, it wos still the most difficult thing to foce.
She wondered until she sow o window. Stonding beside it, she then opened it to let in the chilly wind. The weother wosn’t the best, ond depressing enough, it wos even drizzling. Still, the roin hod freshened up the mood. She stood there for o while before Auroro joined her.
Auroro wolked to her side ond sighed. “You con’t hondle such scenes, huh? Me neither. This isn’t my first encounter with someone leoving the world, so I thought I could deol with these things colmly. But now, I guess I still con’t get over it.”
She didn’t love Bryce onymore, ond she no longer hod feelings for him. However, she still felt sorrowful in the foce of Bryce’s deoth. Perhops this wos the feeling of compossion thot oll humons shored.
Even if it were o stronger lying on the bed, Auroro would still be upset when she sow them ill. After o while, she continued, “Moybe if you experience it o few more times in the future, you might cope better thon I do. No one con ovoid these things, ofter oll.”
Cindy woited for o while. “I’ve experienced such situotions before. My dod left when I wos in college, ond I wos by his side oll the time.”
Auroro wos o little surprised, for Cindy never mentioned onything obout her own fomily before this. She didn’t know thot Cindy hod foced such situotions before.
Cindy didn’t wont to tolk obout this ot first, but when she storted tolking, her words wouldn’t stop coming, so she poured her heort out.
Cindy couldn’t bear it anymore, so she turned and left the ward. No matter how indifferent people might act regarding death, it was still the most difficult thing to face.
She wandered until she saw a window. Standing beside it, she then opened it to let in the chilly wind. The weather wasn’t the best, and depressing enough, it was even drizzling. Still, the rain had freshened up the mood. She stood there for a while before Aurora joined her.
Aurora walked to her side and sighed. “You can’t handle such scenes, huh? Me neither. This isn’t my first encounter with someone leaving the world, so I thought I could deal with these things calmly. But now, I guess I still can’t get over it.”
She didn’t love Bryce anymore, and she no longer had feelings for him. However, she still felt sorrowful in the face of Bryce’s death. Perhaps this was the feeling of compassion that all humans shared.
Even if it were a stranger lying on the bed, Aurora would still be upset when she saw them ill. After a while, she continued, “Maybe if you experience it a few more times in the future, you might cope better than I do. No one can avoid these things, after all.”
Cindy waited for a while. “I’ve experienced such situations before. My dad left when I was in college, and I was by his side all the time.”
Aurora was a little surprised, for Cindy never mentioned anything about her own family before this. She didn’t know that Cindy had faced such situations before.
Cindy didn’t want to talk about this at first, but when she started talking, her words wouldn’t stop coming, so she poured her heart out.
“Back then, my dad was bedridden with a serious illness. I had a disagreement with my mom, who didn’t want to waste money and part with my dad in the end as well, so she wanted to stop the treatment. I objected to it; I couldn’t accept her way of thinking. I thought that even if we fell into poverty, we should still try to save my dad.”
Cindy’s relationship with Hazel was at its worst during that period of time. She was studying in a town away from home, so she only contacted Hazel via phone calls.
They also argued a lot because of their differing opinions, and in the end, Cindy even stopped picking up calls from Hazel.
After that, Anthony was sent to the hospital to get various treatments and try different medications, but he never recovered. Instead, he was tortured beyond imagination.
When Cindy went home for the holidays, she almost couldn’t recognize her own father. Anthony wasn’t in good health from the start, and he could barely endure the side effects of chemotherapy.
Cindy refused to think too much about what happened in between. All in all, Anthony had suffered for more than ten months and still passed away in the end.
It was impossible to judge one based on one’s decisions because they themselves didn’t even know if they made the right choice.
For example, even Cindy herself couldn’t figure out if she had made the right choice by insisting on Anthony’s treatment despite knowing the odds.
Cindy reached up and wiped her tears. “So, what do you think? What is the right choice to make in these situations?”
Now Cindy still had a sour relationship with Hazel, and she knew that it was caused mainly by their differing opinions on Anthony’s illness. Even now, mentioning Anthony was a taboo between them. As soon as Anthony was mentioned, they would begin to distance themselves from each other.
Aurora didn’t know what to do either. She just reached up and squeezed Cindy’s shoulder. “Any choice would turn out to be the correct one. No matter what happened in the end, you’ll have to believe that you made the right choice.”
No one has the right to question anyone’s choice. Cindy turned around and leaned against the windowsill, sighing without a reply.
They looked at the ward and saw doctors and nurses hurrying past them. They must’ve removed Bryce’s life support. A while later, Cindy could hear weeping, which probably belonged to Sally.
Aurora couldn’t hold it in any longer as she said, “The last time we came here, he looked alright. Who would’ve guessed that he would be gone in just a few days?”
With that, Aurora sighed. “Life is too fragile, so we really should treasure the present while it lasts.”
Cindy closed her eyes and let out a breath.
News of Bryce’s passing was sent out the next day, and it caused quite the uproar.

So what happens to Ian and Cindy. Is she/ or does she get pregnant? Do they go back to the city and Ian works with Logan? Does Aurora stay in the entertainment industry or return with Ian? Terrible ending, who cares if Aurora was drinking/drunk with colleagues. What happened with Ian and Cindy?!...
Get rid of Gary. Apparently Cindy is too dumb to figure out his motives 😡...
Why are you trying to break them up when they just got together and are a loving couple. Let them stay close and move back to their true friends, Logan, Lola, John and Sophia!...
Sure hope Ian pulls his head out of his behind and works this out with Cindy. His brother needs him at the company and neither one of them truly like the celebrity life. Sophia and Lola will love her …....
I can’t wait for John to take down the Bailey’s including Isabelle so he, Sophia, William and Matilda can live in peace. Introduce Yolanda to Richard so they are out of the picture....
Ugh, don’t break up Sophia and John… they belong together and Sophia is just stubborn for no reason...
Sophia lives John, he just needs to tell her he loves her and get on with their life and family. Too much interference from others....
Sophia is so stupid....
John needs to man up, tell his mother and Isabelle to take a flying leap and confess to Sophia that he made a horrible mistake in divorcing her. This story is taking too long and once again, the bitches are looking like they are on the right side. Awful...
