The Returning EX (John and Sophia) novel Chapter 2067

Chapter 2067 Fate

In fact, Lola wasn't the prettiest of all.

She wasn't exceptionally soft and gentle too, but Logan just loved her to bits.

Ian recalled a time when they were playing poker in Logan's clubhouse and Lola barged in for a raid.

Lola was ruthless against Logan at the time. With her quick movements, she pressed his backhand on the poker table.

Logan was scolding her then. Facing Lola, he was really indignant and furious.

But in the end, he was defeated by her.

Fate was the most unfathomable thing in this world.

And that applied to Logan and Lola. They were just destined to be together.

After being haughty and arrogant for so many years, Logan finally met Lola, the only one who could put him in his place.

While they were talking, the car reached the clubhouse and stopped at the entrance. They were all familiar with this place, so they went straight upstairs.

Logan was already in the private room, whereas Lola was in the room next to him. Perhaps it wasn't very convenient for her to move around with her huge stomach, so she didn't join them first.

Seeing that the three of them had arrived, Logan quickly stood up. While smiling, he said, "Sophia and her family are on the way and will be here soon. The dishes will be served as soon as they're here."

He then continued, with his voice low, "But I've to inform you all earlier that I will not be drinking tonight. I drank too much previously and my wife nagged for a long time, saying that my stench of alcohol disgusted her."

His words reflected a sense of helplessness, and he spoke with caution as if he was afraid someone would hear them.

Cindy, who was standing by the side, laughed. Logan's difference between how he appeared to be and his real self was really huge and, at the same time, amusing.

Agreeing with Logan, Ian nodded. "I don't want to drink tonight either. The last time I drank, it affected my health and I'm still unwell from it."

Hearing that, Logan patted Ian's shoulders. "That's good. We'll do mere chatting and bonding tonight."

Not long after, Sophia and John arrived. This time, Sophia brought her child along too.

The child was babbling while lying in the baby stroller as if he was conversing with someone.

Cindy quickly went over to have a look at him. "He's energetic today!"

Sophia agreed and carried him out of the stroller. "He was asleep in the car just now. The moment we brought him down from the car, he woke up and started babbling non-stop."

Seeing that, John was rendered helpless. "I regard myself as quite a reserved person, and I've no idea who my son takes after. He was so noisy from the moment he woke up."

Sophia quickly chipped in. "I'm not like this too! God knows whom this little guy learned it from."

Logan, too, quickly explained, "I didn't meet your child that frequently too. Don't put the blame on me."

John laughed in response to that. "You seem to be more suspicious when you explain yourself in such a hurry. Given that you talked to the child non-stop every time you're at our house, I would really suspect that you're the one who taught him."

Hearing that, Logan quickly snorted. "Nonsense. I'm also a very reserved and calm person."

Everyone in the room expressed a bizarre expression upon hearing Logan's words.

Logan himself laughed too. "Fine. I couldn't stand myself saying this too."

Since everyone was here, Logan instructed the waiters to serve the dishes before going to the next room to call Lola.

With her hand on her stomach, Lola slowly walked over. It seemed like she had been sleeping earlier.

Aurora nervously asked how she was feeling right now and whether everything was fine for her.

Lola nodded in reply. Helplessly, she said, "I can't sleep well, and I feel tired easily. For the time being, all I want is to give birth as soon as possible and then relax."

Logan, who was beside her, stroked her back gently. "Be patient a little longer. Time flies really fast. Don't be anxious and maintain a peace of mind."
