The Returning EX (John and Sophia) novel Chapter 2074

Chapter 2074 He Is Trending

Hearing that, Ian heaved a sigh and said solemnly, "How would there be no one watching me? Have you forgotten that there is a chauffeur? He acts exactly like you, observing my every move. I almost forgot to ask if you are the one who pays his salary."
Hearing that, Ian heaved a sigh and said solemnly, "How would there be no one watching me? Have you forgotten that there is a chauffeur? He acts exactly like you, observing my every move. I almost forgot to ask if you are the one who pays his salary."

There was a time when Ian chatted with a supporting female role in the crew for a while, and the chauffeur immediately reminded him privately to take note of that.

He thought that it was nothing. All he talked to that lady about was work and their understanding of the roles as well as the various ways to express their role.

But the chauffeur claimed he was flirting with her and requested him to restrain himself.

At that moment, he was totally stunned. For him, things weren't like what the chauffeur said. He even tried to re-examine his conversation with her, but he still didn't see anything wrong with it.

However, the chauffeur still regarded him as behaving indecently.

Hence, Ian couldn't explain much. The more he explained, the more guilty he appeared to be.

But he still felt wronged as even Cindy herself had never been that sensitive.

This chauffeur had a similar aura to Aurora. Whenever a lady came near Ian, the chauffeur could extend his imagination to believe that all of them had ulterior motives.

Cindy was very much surprised by what Ian said. "Based on what you've said, it seems like I should really pay the chauffeur his salary to keep an eye on you."

Hearing that, Ian stretched his hand and held Cindy's. "Do I need that? Don't you believe me?"

Cindy then turned her head and looked outside the window. The plane seemed to be flying soon. "There are so many people by your side. Even if I believe in you, I don't trust them."

Ian said nothing further.

After the plane took off, Cindy put on her earphones and started watching her show. Meanwhile, Ian was leaning against the chair beside her and they didn't say anything to each other.

Ian took a nap in the middle of the journey, but Cindy wasn't tired, so she stayed awake.

Apart from matters concerning their wedding banquet, all she had done in the past two days was sleep in the room.

The journey was supposed to be long. However, it was acceptable for Cindy as she was preoccupied with the sweet and loving youth drama. Though some parts of it were illogical, it also contained interesting scenes that she enjoyed.

She regarded her time watching the show to be well spent. Eventually, the flight landed.

While waiting for the landing, Ian stretched himself. "We finally reached. I hate being on a plane."

Cindy felt the same too. She was a sensitive and insecure person to start with, and with the plane flying in mid-air, she felt unsafe.

After the plane landed safely, the three of them did not rush down. Instead, they waited for everyone else to leave before slowly exiting.

Hearing that, Ian stretched his hand and held Cindy's. "Do I need that? Don't you believe me?"

When Cindy got off the plane, she turned on her phone and immediately received Naomi's message.

It was an audio message sent on WhatsApp. Opening it, the first thing Cindy heard was Naomi's sneering sound. Needless to say, what followed would be Naomi's teasing words.

As expected, Naomi said, "Are you not showing your face on purpose? I browsed through a few, but none of them showed your face."

Cindy did not understand what Naomi meant. Frowning, she intended to reply to Naomi's message, but she heard Aurora laughing by the side.

Immediately, she turned around, and Aurora naturally showed Cindy her phone. There was a photo of Ian on the screen of the phone.

And of course, there was another person—the girl who took photos with Ian at the airport earlier.

The fact that even Aurora saw the photo indicated that it was currently trending.

Now, Cindy understood what Naomi meant.

She didn't join the photo; that was why Naomi couldn't find her in any of them.

At that moment, she wanted to laugh. She then turned and looked at Ian, who was also staring at his phone. Cindy simply asked, "Did you receive the message, or did you see the Trending list?"

Ian sighed in response. "Hannah texted me."
