The Returning EX (John and Sophia) novel Chapter 2076

Chapter 2076 Ritual

Ian then entered the room, took the clothes he intended to change into and went to the bathroom.
Ian then entered the room, took the clothes he intended to change into and went to the bathroom.

However, he came to a halt after a few steps. He then turned around and looked at Cindy. "Together?"

Cindy wanted to take a bath too. She did not do so in the hotel this morning as she wanted to take a comfortable one after the entire journey.

But when faced with Ian's invitation, she immediately rejected it. "No, I'm exhausted. I can't deal with that."

Ian laughed in response. "You're not the one exerting the force anyway."

She laughed as well when she heard what he said, but she still declined. Even if she wasn't the one putting in the effort, she knew she couldn't manage it.

Ian could be really hardcore and given her tiredness now; she couldn't take it.

Despite not doing much physical activity on the plane, she was exhausted; her mind wasn't in a clear state as well.

Ian then went into the bathroom to take a shower without saying anything further. Cindy, on the other hand, changed a new set of bedsheets and tidied up the house slightly.

However, Ian did not put on his clothes after his bath and merely wrapped a towel around his waist. Then, he hugged her from behind.

That took Cindy aback. She resisted his chest with her elbows and said smilingly, "Wear your clothes and stop playing around."

Ian had no such intention at first, but the longer he was in the shower, the stronger the desire became. In fact, they hadn't even celebrated after registering their marriage.

They needed to do something that a husband and wife would do now that they were home. Otherwise, there would be no sense of ritual at all.

That was why he insisted on it, and he began kissing Cindy while hugging her from behind.

Cindy felt itchy at first and tried to avoid his kisses.

But eventually, he made her breathless. She pushed against his chest and said, "I haven't taken my bath yet."

That didn't bother Ian as it was just a minor issue. Pulling her clothes, he said, "Then we'll go now. I don't mind taking another bath with you."

She laughed hearing what he said. "Do you need to be this persistent?"

While kissing her, he replied, "No, I was expressing my love to you. You always have no idea how much I love you."

His words were so nicely put this time. Cindy encircled him with her arms and asked, "Really? You'll love only me forever?"

He gave an agreeing response, and his kisses did not stop. "Don't worry. You will always be my one and only love."

Regardless of whether he meant it, Cindy believed him at the moment. Hence, they both got entangled around each other and eventually went to the bathroom.

She was still blurry when Ian pressed her against the bathroom wall. Initially, her thoughts were simple––she wanted to rest on the bed after laying out the new bedsheet.

She thought she had avoided what Ian wanted when she turned down his invitation to take a bath together earlier. However, it appeared that she would never be able to avoid what was going to happen.

They needed to do something that a husband and wife would do now that they were home. Otherwise, there would be no sense of ritual at all.

At the very least, Ian stood by his words. Cindy used no force at all, and Ian was the one who carried her out of the bathroom at the end.

Her mind was still disoriented and her only thought was that she needed to change the new bedsheet again.

Ian was relentless to her this time. This time, he took longer than usual, leaving Cindy in a daze after everything was over.

She then pressed against his chest and said, "Isn't such a ritual of yours too much?"

Breathing heavily, Ian replied, "Nothing to do with ritual. I merely wanted to love you."

Of course, he wouldn't be doing this for the sake of the so-called sense of ritual––it was all due to his own desire.

Cindy couldn't care less anymore. Since she couldn't push him away, she would just sleep and let him do whatever he wanted.

She was in a trance, but she couldn't sleep well as she could not be completely oblivious to the sensation her body was experiencing.

However, in the end, Ian knew that she was really tired. Hence, he let her off. He stopped whatever he was doing and merely hugged her.

At this point in time, she was already so weak that her fingers trembled and her body shrank. "Aren't you afraid of any kidney deficiency?"

Stroking her hair that was drenched in sweat, he replied, "Can't you hope for something better for me?"
