The man had released the news in the middle of the night, and he appeared to have compiled all the so-called groundbreaking tidbits into a passage. That said, the passage was unstructured and poorly written, not to mention nonsensical.
He claimed to have been with Aurora for years, and they were happy until she decided to return to the entertainment industry. Following that, she allegedly kicked him out of her life, fearing that he would pull her leg and cause her to become the center of negative news.
According to the passage, he thereafter tried to get back together with her, but she refused to see him and put her career first. He wrote that he even had savings of his own before this, but had exhausted them all on her.
The man accused her of having loose spending habits and being overly indulgent, claiming that she would continue to live in luxury even though she no longer was a celebrity at the time they were dating. He added that the only reason he put up with all of this was because he really liked her.
However, what happened after the break-up was entirely 'out of his expectations'.
The man even used his daughter's children to garner public sympathy. He claimed that his grandchild had hearing problems that required constant medical attention and treatment, but throughout all this, Aurora remained indifferent and distant. This, he pointed out, was heartbreaking considering how his daughter had treated Aurora like her own mother before this.
He went on to spill several more things that only made the passage look like a product of chaos. Cindy's head was spinning as she read through half of it. This guy is all over the place, and his story doesn't make sense!
It took two attempts on her part before she finally understood the point of the passage.
The man seemed to have only pinned the blame on Aurora for now, but he had not said anything about Ian just yet. In all honesty, there wasn't anything significant about Ian that the man could tell the public to spark a scandal or a controversy. If he was forced to, he might mention how Ian had been rude to him the evening before and that he had almost punched him.
Then again, Cindy wouldn't put it past him to make up lies about Ian.
If that came to pass, the man would only have trouble on his hands. After all, it meant he did not know how many times Ian had been amid controversies and scandals but always managed to flip the narrative in his own favor.
Simply put, the man's irrelevant antics would do little to hurt Ian's reputation.
Presently, Cindy headed out of the room and sat down next to Ian. She then asked, "What did Hannah say?"
Ian had one leg crossed over the other as he replied, "She told me to stay at home for the day and that I don't have to drop by the set for now. She has also asked that we don't come out with a statement of our own while the company takes care of this."
They would look bad if they were to take matters into their own hands; in fact, it would seem like they were petty enough to pick a fight with a man who was a complete average joe.
More importantly, it was easier for the company to handle the matter seeing as they had full-fledged employees helping out in the public relations department. After all, they knew how to reduce the gravity of a situation.
Besides, the company had more bargaining power to resolve this matter at hand.
At that moment, Aurora emerged from her bedroom and sat down next to Cindy. "I was so worried last night about what he might say, but this morning, I woke up to find that he's got nothing significant to build his leverage on; he's just firing blank accusations without proper proof. To think that he had kept everyone in suspense for a whole night only to make up such a lame statement. I don't know how he'll live down the embarrassment."
Cindy laughed. "He probably doesn't know better and thinks that he can spew any nonsense for the internet to believe him."
Indeed, the entertainment industry was rife with naivety, because a single scandal was all it took to get the crowd's attention. That said, it wasn't as if everyone was foolish enough to fall for plain words; several demanded proof as well.
After all, the internet was a chaotic place; with everyone running their mouths and making nonsense up, no one could be so gullible as to be convinced without proof.
Cindy still had to go to work this morning. She waited for a bit before she went into the kitchen to make breakfast. The three of them weren't hungry, so she made pancakes and bacon.
It was a simple breakfast that didn't take much time to whip up, and the bacon was appetizing.
When she was done, she brought the breakfast out on a tray as they all sat at the dining table. However, Cindy was the only one who seemed to really appreciate her food.
In all fairness, she didn't have a choice since she had to be at work for the whole morning.
On the other hand, Ian did not need to work on set, and Aurora had no plans for the day either. They could laze around at home and conserve their energy.
After polishing off her plate, Cindy cleared the dishes and put on a change of clothes. When she saw that she had to leave for work soon, she came out of her bedroom, slipped on her shoes, and said, "Be good while the both of you are at home. Give me a call if anything happens. I'm leaving for work now."

The readers' comments on the novel: The Returning EX (John and Sophia)
So what happens to Ian and Cindy. Is she/ or does she get pregnant? Do they go back to the city and Ian works with Logan? Does Aurora stay in the entertainment industry or return with Ian? Terrible ending, who cares if Aurora was drinking/drunk with colleagues. What happened with Ian and Cindy?!...
Get rid of Gary. Apparently Cindy is too dumb to figure out his motives 😡...
Why are you trying to break them up when they just got together and are a loving couple. Let them stay close and move back to their true friends, Logan, Lola, John and Sophia!...
Sure hope Ian pulls his head out of his behind and works this out with Cindy. His brother needs him at the company and neither one of them truly like the celebrity life. Sophia and Lola will love her …....
I can’t wait for John to take down the Bailey’s including Isabelle so he, Sophia, William and Matilda can live in peace. Introduce Yolanda to Richard so they are out of the picture....
Ugh, don’t break up Sophia and John… they belong together and Sophia is just stubborn for no reason...
Sophia lives John, he just needs to tell her he loves her and get on with their life and family. Too much interference from others....
Sophia is so stupid....
John needs to man up, tell his mother and Isabelle to take a flying leap and confess to Sophia that he made a horrible mistake in divorcing her. This story is taking too long and once again, the bitches are looking like they are on the right side. Awful...
