The Royal Military Academy's Impostor Owns a Dungeon [BL] novel Chapter 482

Chapter 482: Consult

Nine days. frёewebnoѵēl.com

Luca thought they would only be able to tank such an expense because they had received CP from their contract with the military. And as such, their 8,677,978 CP should be able to withstand this damage of 2,390,000 CP.

The number was frankly dizzying. And even now, his fingers still twitched every time he looked at it. But these were investments. These were seeds for the future.

For their futures.

But more than anything, this was practice. Because given the amount Luca was planning on spending on the mechas, he might as well just shut his eyes when buying.

Well, not that he hadn’t been doing just that.

"Host! About the animals, do we purchase them right now as well?" D-29 chimed, prompting Luca to actually continue with what he was doing.

"Oh, not yet. We’ll buy them, but we’d do it last so that we could first let Elder Pao Xi look into them before they’re transferred here."

Luca didn’t want the animals to be left in a barn where the caretakers hadn’t had enough time to learn, but at the same time, he wanted to buy the animals as soon as possible so they could start getting acclimatized.

However, he fully intended to purchase the facilities so that people could become accustomed to them.

And that was how Luca ended up buying and upgrading a cow barn—complete with a creamery—and a pig pen.

This time, he also remembered to upgrade the existing chicken coop, which probably shocked the poor existing tenants. But hey, a better home was coming!

None of the facilities could be upgraded to level III, but even then, they were already advanced, and coupled with a good amount of manpower, they should be able to make it work.

Hopefully.

And the heir was banking on this. Because he might have bitten off more than he could chew, after all, he decided to upgrade the existing three farms in the dungeon-linked space into level IIs and added six new farmlands of the same level.

So to compensate, Luca decided to add nine farming robots, which totaled to a whopping 450,000 CP.

That could’ve been a biomecha.

But no. Instead of fighting corrupted beasts, they’d now be fighting weeds and tilling soil.

However, it wasn’t like he didn’t think of the mechas.

He did. How could he forget something that’s been living right up there with thoughts about a certain someone?

And that was why he was shelling out half a million CP just to upgrade the mecha laboratory so they would be able to mass produce upgraded mechas for the majority of the pilots under the banner of their house.

The little money grubber was sure that his invisible CP wallet must’ve cried when he confirmed the upgrade. But the silent weeping of his purse and his soul had been masked by the intense clapping and sobbing that was happening around him.

While it began the moment he left their dining hall, the crowd really thickened when he first added the barn, and from there, more and more people started following him around to see what else he was planning to upgrade.

But because the mechanics who overheard Luca’s plan to start building tomorrow knew of his proposed schedule, they didn’t think he also had an upgrade planned for the facility that already seemed too good for them.

Yet, their gracious boss had such a thing in mind.

And the mechanics suddenly looked ready to pitch a tent and live inside the lab.

They were touched. And extremely motivated. And the cheers were so loud Luca couldn’t help but blush as he accepted their heartfelt thanks.

It was just that maybe they shouldn’t have been too excited, for if they had been more observant, they would have noticed how a certain blonde looked significantly paler after seeing the improved facility.

But how could the deeply traumatized mechanic not falter at the sight of this place?

All Ollie could do was look at the mechanics and remember their smiling and plump faces, as he might not see the same look in a very, very long while.

After all, who "just builds" with his good brother?

Wasn’t every build a test for survival?

And just how much spiritual water would they have to take in to make it out alive?

Ollie clasped Kyle’s uniform tighter, and the adjutant had to ask, "What’s wrong?"

"Well...nothing yet. But if I don’t make it, maybe split my stuff between you and my brother."

"Huh? Split it? You won’t just give it to me? And what about your family?"

"N-no, because you’ll just keep them and never use them. My brother might take a hundred years to use them, but at least he would!"

"And my family, they’re already rich. And my pop would be angry if he knew what I had ’stored’. What if he tells our ancestors, and I end up disowned in the afterlife?!"

Kyle had to look down to see Ollie, who hadn’t blinked since he started speaking. He just clung to him while staring at Luca and the mechanics, who looked like they were dancing into the flames.

"But why won’t you make it?"

"Because we’re about to start building mechas."

"That bad?"

"That bad."

Kyle chuckled low. "Then I guess we’d better make the most of tonight."

He leaned in. Dangerously close.

"What if you don’t get returned to me tomorrow, and I’m left to grow old alone? What about your promised heir?"

"?"

"!!!"
