The runaway groom novel (Irene and Isaac) novel Chapter 726

Chapter 726

Dennis was about to speak when Irene simply turned and left, while Yolanda caught his sleeve.

'You’ve always been nice to Irene, Director. She would definitely listen if you asked."

However, Dennis was smart enough to judge that the best option here was for Irene to handle this herself. Even if Irene was willing to spare Yolanda, Yolanda must first be direct with her.

"Do it yourself-you're not a child. Why can't you let go of your pride?"

With those words, Dennis strode off.

Yolanda was going to have to think through this herself, and anything anyone else would say was pointless.

With that, Yolanda was left sitting on the stone bench with a major headache.

It was not as if she did not know how to weigh a situation, and she certainly understood that her job was more important.

She just could not put aside her pride.

Moreover, she was the one who messed with Irene first, and with Irene being so much younger than she was, Yolanda knows that once she apologized, she would never get to pull rank with Irene.

She certainly would lack stature in her presence after that.

Later, Irene went to meet Dennis again to talk about Finn. "I want him to help me."

"W-Wait. That's your decision?’ Dennis was at once surprised and confused. 'You're allowing someone who tried to hurt you to be close to you? What are you thinking?"

'I would like to observe him."

"And...?"

"If he's naive but kind as you have said, I won't pursue the issue any further. As long as he's going to do his job properly and contribute to our research efforts, I'll consider that he has made up for his mistake."

Dennis sighed lengthily at that, his furrowed brow easing.

He had been worried that Irene would mete out serious punishment to Finn, and he was surprised despite himself.

He naturally felt that he made the right choice-lrene was young, but she was considerate in her actions.
