When Noelle walked out of the washroom, Hendrix was still standing there.
His coat was still with Noelle, and he was only wearing a shirt. The cufflinks were undone, and he had rolled up the sleeves, revealing his fair and toned forearms,
With his distinguished demeanor and striking; features, passersby couldn’t help but glance his way. But he seemed used to being watched, keeping his eyes fixed on his phone without even lifting his gaze.
Noelle watched him. Her steps, which had been headed toward him, came to a halt.
Hendrix still kept his head down.
Normally, he wouldn’t have noticed the attention from those around him, but when Noelle looked at him, it was as if he sensed something. He quickly lifted his head.
After biting her lip, Noelle walked over to him.
“Your clothes got dirty,” Noelle said softly. “I’ll wash then return them to you.”
Hendrix was about to say it wasn’t necessary, but after glancing at her, he suddenly changed his mind and just Eave a quiet “mm“.

Noelle gave her hand a slight shake. “So, you probably know by now. I’m not pregnant, so…”

“Have you been here before?” Hendrix suddenly asked after ordering their food.

“Yeah.”
“So, do you know why I was able to find you so quickly?”
His words made Noelle’s hand immediately tighten.
Hendrix glanced down at her hand, then smiled. “Noelle, you think of him as a friend, but he might not feel the same way. He’s just using; you as a tool for mutual gain.”

Noelle bit her lip, then looked at him. “Since Mr. Freeman already knows, then why fall for it? As long agree to lils terms, my relationship with him can be completely pure.”

Woah chapters 41-45 is intense!! Good to see Noelle’s character who has come across as mostly detached actually express emotion....
I find Noelle’s character so frustrating, she comes across lacking any true emotion. The chapters where Rosie was missing was probably the most where we have seen some strong outward emotion shown. Dreading these next few chapters if she is going to do something drastic to “go find Seline” The author has taken us on a rollercoaster with these characters. The novel feels like it is at a stage now where they can come full circle....
A good change of pace and story in the last 10 chapters. Good to see the shift in Hendrix’s character (more patience) to win over Noelle and Rosie. Hope we start to see them warm up to him. Please no crazy twist where he loses them again. Have enjoyed this story and looking forward to its wrap up👨👩👧...

I have been in love with this novel but I don’t know how much patience I have to wait until the to finish line. Dear Author, can you atleast give us some idea about how long is this going to be or if there’s any turning point coming soon. And it would be great if you could upload at least 10 chapters at once. 5 chapters is making me more impatience with the anticipation of the further story of novel🙈...
I really hope there is a turning point in this story where Noelle starts to show some interest in Hendrix...
