In the days that followed, Noelle didn’t see Hendrix at all.
Jennifer, however, proved to be a very competent guide. Over the past few days, she had taken Noelle to explore many places in Sintrun. They weren’t all the typical tourist hotspots, either.
Jennifer arranged the itinerary thoughtfully, with a perfect balance of activity and rest, making the outings enjoyable and never tiring
“There’s going to be a fireworks show tonight,” Jennifer said as they ate. “It’s not an everyday event. It’s for Thanksgiving. I’ve reserved a spot for you upstairs–at one of the most famous viewing points. Once we finish dinner, head up there and take a look. It’s absolutely spectacular!”
“Are you not going to be with me?”
Jennifer smiled and said, “Ms. Swanson, I have a boyfriend, too. I have been ignoring him the past few days. If I don’t go back now, he’s going to be mad.”
“I’m sorry. You…”
“It’s nothing, really. This is my job, and it’s what I should do. If you’re truly satisfied with my arrangements, could you put in a good word for me with Mr. Freeman?”
“I don’t really…
“Oh, no worries! As long as you’re happy, my job is done.” Tennifer quickly smiled again. “Alright. It’s about time for me to leave. Enjoy the fireworks show. It’s all set for you to watch from up there.”
With that, she turned and walked away without hesitation.
Noelle watched her retreating figure, suddenly feeling that this situation might not be as simple as it seemed.
However, Jennifer had already left. Even if she wanted to ask, she could only swallow it down.
Soon, the restaurant slowly became empty.
Noelle didn’t want to leave. But after glancing outside at the excitement on everyone’s faces, she finally stood up. When she reached the rooftop, she realized it had started snowing.

He was wearing a long gray coat tonight, his hair as neatly combed as ever. Even though he was by himself, wasn’t a hint of awkwardness about him.

Woah chapters 41-45 is intense!! Good to see Noelle’s character who has come across as mostly detached actually express emotion....
I find Noelle’s character so frustrating, she comes across lacking any true emotion. The chapters where Rosie was missing was probably the most where we have seen some strong outward emotion shown. Dreading these next few chapters if she is going to do something drastic to “go find Seline” The author has taken us on a rollercoaster with these characters. The novel feels like it is at a stage now where they can come full circle....
A good change of pace and story in the last 10 chapters. Good to see the shift in Hendrix’s character (more patience) to win over Noelle and Rosie. Hope we start to see them warm up to him. Please no crazy twist where he loses them again. Have enjoyed this story and looking forward to its wrap up👨👩👧...

I have been in love with this novel but I don’t know how much patience I have to wait until the to finish line. Dear Author, can you atleast give us some idea about how long is this going to be or if there’s any turning point coming soon. And it would be great if you could upload at least 10 chapters at once. 5 chapters is making me more impatience with the anticipation of the further story of novel🙈...
I really hope there is a turning point in this story where Noelle starts to show some interest in Hendrix...
