It was at this moment that Noelle asked from the inside, “Oliver, who’s at the door?” 

That voice gave Hendrix a definite answer–he had been right all along. This was indeed Noelle’s place, and inside her home was another man. 

Hendrix let out a sudden, cold laugh. Then, he turned and walked away without hesitation.

room. 

She was lying in bed and gazing at him weakly. “What were you doing out there?” 

“There was someone at the door just now, so I went to see who it was. 

“Was it a delivery?”

“No, it was a really handsome guy. He was kind of strange, though–didn’t say who he was and just left like Oliver frowned. “And I swear he looked familiar, like I’ve seen him somewhere before. But I can’t remember where.‘ 

“Well, can you at least get me a glass of water first?” asked Noelle helplessly. 

Oliver finally remembered she had asked him to get her a glass of water, so he quickly turned to pour her a glass. 

“Ms. Swanson, if it’s too much for you to bear, maybe we should go to the hospital? I mean, from the looks of it, you’re really sick.” 

“No. I’ll be fine after a good night’s rest. You can go back now,” Noelle replied after sipping a few mouthfuls of water and taking her medicine.
