Countless thoughts flooded Noelle’s mind until Grant came over and said, “Mr. Nathan, what are you doing here?” 

Mr. Nathan…

Noelle was familiar with his tone. If things went as usual, he would hang up the phone in the next moment. So, she hurriedly spoke before he could hang up, “Grandma said we should come over for dinner together. If you’re free… you can come.” 

Hendrix didn’t respond. 

Then, Noelle added, “There’s a guest here, so you should be mentally prepared.” 

To Hendrix, her reminder seemed a bit strange. Perhaps it was his imagination, but Noelle’s words seemed to carry a hint of… tenderness. 

Hendrix hadn’t received such an emotional response from her in a long time. Suddenly, the anger that had been stirring in him for an entire day and night was somewhat soothed, even putting a pause on his plan to deal with Dylan.

Hendrix held the steering wheel with one hand, while his other hand pulled off his tie. After turning a few streets, Freeman Manor finally came into view. 

Grant was already waiting at the door. As soon as he saw Hendrix’s car, he approached him. “Mr. Hendrix, you’re back”
