She trembled involuntarily and clenched her teeth tightly. But then, just as quickly, she let out a laugh. “Oh, really? Such wonderful news, and yet, I had no idea. Should be congratulating you, then?” 

“Do as you please,” Noelle replied. “Whether you congratulate me or not, it makes no difference to me.

Contempt that was what Sandra could clearly feel radiating from Noelle’s gaze. As if everything she had desperately fought for meant nothing at all to Noelle. 

In truth, that seemed to be the reality. 

Over the years, Sandra had done so much for Hendrix. She had exhausted every possible effort, desperately trying to make him notice her and to replace Noelle’s place in his heart. But in the end, he still chose Noelle. 

At this moment, Noelle stood before her with an air of absolute superiority, looking down on her with indifference. 

“It’s not really that big of a deal.” Sandra slowly withdrew her smile and said, “So what if you’re pregnant? That doesn’t necessarily mean the baby would survive till the end, does it?” 

Before Noelle could respond, the housekeeper suddenly stepped forward and said, “How can you speak like that? Are you out of your mind? If I tell Mr. Freeman about this, do you know what the consequences will be for you?” 

Sandra sneered coldly. “Not bad, Noelle. You even keep a lackey by your side now? But so what? What’s the big deal about being pregnant? Oh, right. You probably didn’t know, did you? I was also pregnant with Hendrix’s child 

once. 

“You remember, don’t you? That time we both went to Dynalis. We even ran into each other back then.” Sandra’s smile deepened. “Too bad I had a miscarriage.” 

Noelle stood unmoving, but her lips were tightly pressed together as she stared at Sandra intently. 

Sandra gave her one last smile before turning and walking away. 

The housekeeper was clearly still in shock. After a long pause, she finally turned to Noelle and said, “Mrs. Freeman, this-” 

“Let’s go,” Noelle cut in swiftly. 

With that, she turned around. Her steps were quick, almost panicky. 

The housekeeper quickly caught up with her, speaking as she walked, “Mrs. Freeman, don’t listen to that woman’s nonsense. Who does she think she is? What right does she have to slander Mr. Freeman like that? “She’s just bitter and malicious, jealous seeing you and Mr Freeman so happy together.” 

But after she finished, she realized that Noelle hadn’t responded at all. 

Her silence made the housekeeper even more uneasy. 

She wanted to say more, but just then, Noelle turned to her and smiled faintly. “It’s fine. I don’t care about that.” 

The housekeeper froze for a moment, caught off guard by her response. Before she could process it, Noelle had already stepped into the car.
