Noelle remained standing there, calmly looking at Hendrix. 

Hendrix met her gaze for a moment longer before his smile gradually vanished. Then, in a calm voice, he said, ” Alright. Let’s go home.” 

And with that, he strode forward and grabbed Noelle’s hand without hesitation. 

“Where do you think you’re going?” Jean’s voice rang out behind them. “Hendrix Freeman, do you really think we’re that easy to bully? Do you even know who you just hit? You-” 

“Call the police,” Hendrix cut her off calmly. “And while you’re at it, have the restaurant check the surveillance footage. Then, you’ll understand exactly why I hit him.” 

That indifferent attitude of his left Jean completely speechless. 

Hendrix didn’t spare her another glance. After he finished speaking, he simply grabbed Noelle’s hand and marched forward quickly–so quickly that Noelle had to half–jog just to keep up. 

In their rush, she hadn’t taken her coat or scarf. The moment they stepped outside, the biting wind hit her, sending an involuntary shiver down her spine. 

But the usually “attentive” Hendrix didn’t notice. 

Before she could say a word, he shoved her into the car, and the door slammed shut behind her. 

The thunderous slam of the car door startled the driver in the front seat. But the moment he caught sight of Hendrix’s expression, he didn’t dare to ask a single question. Without a word, he simply started the engine and stepped on the gas pedal. 

Hendrix was silent the entire ride, but his grip on Noelle’s Hand was crushing, as if he wanted to snap her bones. Noelle, of course, felt the pain. But she didn’t make a sound. She only furrowed her brows ever so slightly. 

Soon, they arrived at Nivis Villa. 

Hendrix dragged Noelle out of the car. 

The stark contrast between the freezing cold outside and the warmth inside the car made Noelle sneeze several 

times. 

But Hendrix didn’t even look at her. 

The moment they stepped inside, the grip of her wrist finally loosened. But there was no relief for her, because in the very next second, his hand was at her throat. 

He didn’t use force, but his large palm and the menacing madness in his eyes gave Noelle the impression that with just a little more strength, he could snap her neck. 

She stood there, unmoving, while locking her eyes with his 

“Penny, you did it on purpose, didn’t you?” Hendrix asked her softly. 

Noelle narrowed her eyes. 

“You deliberately pulled Dylan into a performance just to watch me lose control,” Hendix said. “Why? You don’t believe in my feelings for you? Is that it?” 

“Hendrix,” Noelle called softly. “You already know the answer, don’t you?”
