The woman immediately caught on to what Hendrix was saying. "I see. You're that bitch's friend, aren't you?"
Hendrix was still on the phone with his lawyer, but he immediately fell silent when he heard what she said.
He turned to look at her.
The woman chuckled coldly before saying, "Wait, no. I should say you're her backup, right? She's really something, alright. Managing to string along so many men at once.
"I knew it! All that talk about her being some sort of talented female comic artist is all just a hype! I bet she's got plenty of men like you propping her up in secret, doesn't she?"
As she spoke, she glanced up and down at Hendrix.
She came somewhat from a well-off family, and over the years, her experience as a dedicated fan had naturally exposed her to plenty of high-end items. So, with just one glance, she could tell the clothes and watch on Hendrix were worth a fortune.
That only reinforced her earlier assumption.
"You must be Noelle's sugar daddy, right? Do you know she's flirting with my favorite celebrity every day on set? Oh, and she has a bastard kid, too. Wonder who the baby daddy is. Don't you think it's a waste to be spending money on a woman like her?"
The woman kept rambling, but Hendrix's expression remained unchanged.
As she got more excited, she even tried to convince Hendrix to join her in blacklisting Noelle and completely destroying her.
But by then, Hendrix's lawyer had arrived.
"I'll leave you to deal with her," Hendrix said as he removed the memory card from the woman's camera.
Displeased, the woman was about to confront him, but the lawyer stopped her.
"Hello, I'm Mr. Freeman's attorney. If you have any issues with him, please speak with me instead."

Woah chapters 41-45 is intense!! Good to see Noelle’s character who has come across as mostly detached actually express emotion....
I find Noelle’s character so frustrating, she comes across lacking any true emotion. The chapters where Rosie was missing was probably the most where we have seen some strong outward emotion shown. Dreading these next few chapters if she is going to do something drastic to “go find Seline” The author has taken us on a rollercoaster with these characters. The novel feels like it is at a stage now where they can come full circle....
A good change of pace and story in the last 10 chapters. Good to see the shift in Hendrix’s character (more patience) to win over Noelle and Rosie. Hope we start to see them warm up to him. Please no crazy twist where he loses them again. Have enjoyed this story and looking forward to its wrap up👨👩👧...

I have been in love with this novel but I don’t know how much patience I have to wait until the to finish line. Dear Author, can you atleast give us some idea about how long is this going to be or if there’s any turning point coming soon. And it would be great if you could upload at least 10 chapters at once. 5 chapters is making me more impatience with the anticipation of the further story of novel🙈...
I really hope there is a turning point in this story where Noelle starts to show some interest in Hendrix...
