The moment Noelle entered the hospital room, Seline noticed something was off with her leg.
But with Rosie present, she didn't ask about it. Instead, she said, "Rosie woke up and didn't see you, so I called you."
"I saw, but I couldn't pick it up in time," Noelle answered as she sat down by Rosie's bed. "What's the matter, Rosie? Did you miss me?"
Rosie nodded, then glanced at Noelle's hands.
"Where's my lion plushie?"
It seemed she had been crying earlier. Her eyes were red, and her voice was hoarse.
Noelle hesitated, then bit her lip. "I'm sorry, sweetheart, but I couldn't find the plushie. How about I buy you a new one?"
"Will the new one be the same as the old one?"
Rosie's question caught Noelle off guard.
Without waiting for an answer, Rosie seemed to already know. She lowered her eyes and said, "But I want the original one."
"I know. I really do," Noelle said, her voice trembling. "I'll go back and look for it again, okay? Don't worry. The little lion is just hiding. I'll try my best to find it, okay?"
Rosie finally nodded. "I believe you, Mommy."
Noelle smiled and stroked her hair. "Let's get ready for dinner. What would you like to eat? I'll buy it for you, okay?"
"I want the sliders you make."
"Okay. I'll go buy the ingredients now. Wait here, and let Seline keep you company, alright?"
Rosie nodded obediently.
Only then did Noelle stand up, but Seline suddenly grabbed her hand.

Woah chapters 41-45 is intense!! Good to see Noelle’s character who has come across as mostly detached actually express emotion....
I find Noelle’s character so frustrating, she comes across lacking any true emotion. The chapters where Rosie was missing was probably the most where we have seen some strong outward emotion shown. Dreading these next few chapters if she is going to do something drastic to “go find Seline” The author has taken us on a rollercoaster with these characters. The novel feels like it is at a stage now where they can come full circle....
A good change of pace and story in the last 10 chapters. Good to see the shift in Hendrix’s character (more patience) to win over Noelle and Rosie. Hope we start to see them warm up to him. Please no crazy twist where he loses them again. Have enjoyed this story and looking forward to its wrap up👨👩👧...

I have been in love with this novel but I don’t know how much patience I have to wait until the to finish line. Dear Author, can you atleast give us some idea about how long is this going to be or if there’s any turning point coming soon. And it would be great if you could upload at least 10 chapters at once. 5 chapters is making me more impatience with the anticipation of the further story of novel🙈...
I really hope there is a turning point in this story where Noelle starts to show some interest in Hendrix...
