Hendrix stood there in silence. Only he knew what had driven him to make that proposal earlier. Noelle was right—he hadn't forgiven her. He also knew their relationship was riddled with emotional scars.
But they had a good time together today, didn't they?
Hendrix admitted that his initial suggestion to join them had been motivated by Dylan. He didn't want the person standing by Noelle's side in the end to be him. So that was why he had inserted himself into their plans, to which Noelle had agreed.
To his surprise, he had genuinely enjoyed himself today. So, he had thought, maybe the three of them could just continue like this—even if it was just for Rosie's sake.
But now, Hendrix realized how naïve he had been. Noelle had only wanted to create a good memory for Rosie, with emphasis on the word "memory". Meaning to say, there was no future for them to be together anymore.
At this thought, Hendrix couldn't help but laugh. "Then, who do you feel comfortable being with? Dylan?"
He knew she had been messaging Dylan the whole day. So, he had guessed right from the very start—they had originally made plans to go to the amusement park together, and she was even going to bring Rosie along.
What was she thinking? Was Noelle really going to ask Dylan to become Rosie's father?
"Did you forget that you were kidnapped by Jean before?" Jendrix asked. "Do you know that Dylan was the one who planned it? He didn't want to marry Jean, so he deliberately fueled her hatred toward you. Because he knew—"
"I know," Noelle cut him off.
Those two words, uttered so indifferently, silenced everything else Hendrix had to say.
"You know, and yet you still—"

Like how the story is progressing now but why is the author only releasing 3 chapters at a time? this is torture😩😩...
Woah chapters 41-45 is intense!! Good to see Noelle’s character who has come across as mostly detached actually express emotion....
I find Noelle’s character so frustrating, she comes across lacking any true emotion. The chapters where Rosie was missing was probably the most where we have seen some strong outward emotion shown. Dreading these next few chapters if she is going to do something drastic to “go find Seline” The author has taken us on a rollercoaster with these characters. The novel feels like it is at a stage now where they can come full circle....
A good change of pace and story in the last 10 chapters. Good to see the shift in Hendrix’s character (more patience) to win over Noelle and Rosie. Hope we start to see them warm up to him. Please no crazy twist where he loses them again. Have enjoyed this story and looking forward to its wrap up👨👩👧...

I have been in love with this novel but I don’t know how much patience I have to wait until the to finish line. Dear Author, can you atleast give us some idea about how long is this going to be or if there’s any turning point coming soon. And it would be great if you could upload at least 10 chapters at once. 5 chapters is making me more impatience with the anticipation of the further story of novel🙈...
I really hope there is a turning point in this story where Noelle starts to show some interest in Hendrix...
