It was a photo taken during their last visit to the amusement park. At the time, the park staff, trying to curry favor with him, had taken countless group photos of him, Noelle, and Rosie.

Dylan smiled at him and said, "Sorry. I need to take this call."
Then, without waiting for Hendrix's response, he walked out with his phone in hand.
Hendrix stayed where he was. After a moment, he let out a soft chuckle.
He knew it—there was no way Dylan didn't care. He had done it on purpose. He had deliberately taken out his phone in front of him to flaunt his relationship with Noelle.
Hendrix had always known that it was impossible for Dylan not to care about his past with Noelle. His earlier calmness and sincerity? It must have been an act. So, the video call was probably fake, too.
Someone had just swapped in a photo of Noelle as their profile picture. When this thought crossed his mind, Hendrix was startled by his own reaction.
He began to ask himself, what did it have to do with him whether the video call was real or fake? After all, he had already decided not to concern himself with Noelle's affairs. Whether her relationship with Dylan was genuine or nothing but a pretense—he had no interest in knowing.
"Mr. Freeman?"
A voice snapped him out of his thoughts.
Hendrix turned to look at the person beside him and quickly said, "Sorry. I just remembered there's something urgent I need to do. Now, if you'll please excuse me."
"Shall I have someone drive you?" the other person immediately offered.
Hendrix raised his hand. "No, it's okay. I came with my driver tonight. The party was quite the success. Thank you for the invitation."

Like how the story is progressing now but why is the author only releasing 3 chapters at a time? this is torture😩😩...
Woah chapters 41-45 is intense!! Good to see Noelle’s character who has come across as mostly detached actually express emotion....
I find Noelle’s character so frustrating, she comes across lacking any true emotion. The chapters where Rosie was missing was probably the most where we have seen some strong outward emotion shown. Dreading these next few chapters if she is going to do something drastic to “go find Seline” The author has taken us on a rollercoaster with these characters. The novel feels like it is at a stage now where they can come full circle....
A good change of pace and story in the last 10 chapters. Good to see the shift in Hendrix’s character (more patience) to win over Noelle and Rosie. Hope we start to see them warm up to him. Please no crazy twist where he loses them again. Have enjoyed this story and looking forward to its wrap up👨👩👧...

I have been in love with this novel but I don’t know how much patience I have to wait until the to finish line. Dear Author, can you atleast give us some idea about how long is this going to be or if there’s any turning point coming soon. And it would be great if you could upload at least 10 chapters at once. 5 chapters is making me more impatience with the anticipation of the further story of novel🙈...
