Hendrix trailed behind Dylan the entire time. He knew how despicable his actions were—this wasn't something he should be doing, but he couldn't help himself.
He even wished he could live-stream the scene to Noelle, letting her see the true colors of the man she had chosen. But he didn't.
Doing something like that wouldn't carry much weight. Besides, he didn't want to stoop to that level. All he needed to do was tear off Dylan's mask and make sure he stayed away from Noelle.
Dylan didn't deserve her—not even a little!
Dylan soon led the woman into a room.
Hendrix didn't approach immediately. Instead, he stood outside, finishing a cigarette before slowly making his way forward. He moved in a calm and deliberate manner, and when he reached the door, he gave it several light knocks.
There was no response from inside. Hendrix narrowed his eyes, the mockery in his gaze growing more pronounced.
He knocked again.
This time, Dylan answered. "Who is it?"
Hendrix remained silent.
Dylan asked twice more before walking over to the door.
Through the door, Hendrix could hear the sound of someone drawing closer. He couldn't help but smirk and even took out his phone to call the hotel, requesting a copy of the surveillance footage showing Dylan bringing a woman to the room.
Though Hendrix himself would never stoop to such tactics, having someone else do it was a different story. He was doing this for Noelle's sake, after all.
Hendrix timed it perfectly. Just as he hung up the phone, Dylan opened the door.
When Dylan saw him, he was visibly stunned.

Woah chapters 41-45 is intense!! Good to see Noelle’s character who has come across as mostly detached actually express emotion....
I find Noelle’s character so frustrating, she comes across lacking any true emotion. The chapters where Rosie was missing was probably the most where we have seen some strong outward emotion shown. Dreading these next few chapters if she is going to do something drastic to “go find Seline” The author has taken us on a rollercoaster with these characters. The novel feels like it is at a stage now where they can come full circle....
A good change of pace and story in the last 10 chapters. Good to see the shift in Hendrix’s character (more patience) to win over Noelle and Rosie. Hope we start to see them warm up to him. Please no crazy twist where he loses them again. Have enjoyed this story and looking forward to its wrap up👨👩👧...

I have been in love with this novel but I don’t know how much patience I have to wait until the to finish line. Dear Author, can you atleast give us some idea about how long is this going to be or if there’s any turning point coming soon. And it would be great if you could upload at least 10 chapters at once. 5 chapters is making me more impatience with the anticipation of the further story of novel🙈...
I really hope there is a turning point in this story where Noelle starts to show some interest in Hendrix...
