Noelle’s current address was No. 37, Serene Street, and it was Hendrix’s first time there.
Despite being a giant in the property industry, Hendrix wouldn’t have known that such an area existed in Coppersville if Noelle hadn’t shown them the way.
Noelle didn’t bid him goodbye, merely thanking Levi before hopping off. To her surprise, Hendrix climbed out of the car after her.
She stared at him. “What are you doing?”
I’m
coming upstairs to take a look.”
Noelle had no idea what he was up to and took a deep breath. “It’s not convenient.”
“Why not?” Hendrix took a glance at the various advertisements glued to the wall next to them and asked, “Is there someone else in your place?”
“Of course not.
“Then, why not?”
In an uptight tone, she replied, “I just don’t understand the point of you coming upstairs.”
“I want to check if there’s anyone else at your place. That’s the point.” He shifted his gaze slowly back at her.” During this period, I hope that our relationship will be clean.”
“Since you don’t trust me, why do you want to do this with me?”
“How many times do I need to remind you about last night?
Noelle was tongue–tied, realizing that she was completely at a disadvantage after what happened between them last night.
He even nailed her to the pillar of shame. Since she was the one who took the initiative, she deserved to bear the
consequences.
Instead of speaking more with him, Noelle spun on her heels and left, and he tagged behind her. While they took the staircase upstairs, the knot between his brows tightened with every step.
The narrow stairway had humid and dark walls. Trash, which wasn’t cleaned up, lay in corners and emitted a foul smell.
It was beyond Hendrix why Noelle would call such a place home. The more ridiculous part was she’d rather live here than accept his arrangements.
Noelle came to a stop on the third floor and lowered her head to unlock a door. When Hendrix saw the condition Inside, his stoic expression eased up a little.
“Should I change into indoor slippers?” he asked.
“No,” she mumbled in reply, grabbing a towel to cover the comic she needed to sign.

“That’s the bedroom,” Noelle pointed out.
Raising his brows, Hendrix walked over subconsciously. The bed was adorned in pale yellow sheets, and the curtains were made of soft, light chiffon. Next to the window were some fresh flowers.

Woah chapters 41-45 is intense!! Good to see Noelle’s character who has come across as mostly detached actually express emotion....
I find Noelle’s character so frustrating, she comes across lacking any true emotion. The chapters where Rosie was missing was probably the most where we have seen some strong outward emotion shown. Dreading these next few chapters if she is going to do something drastic to “go find Seline” The author has taken us on a rollercoaster with these characters. The novel feels like it is at a stage now where they can come full circle....
A good change of pace and story in the last 10 chapters. Good to see the shift in Hendrix’s character (more patience) to win over Noelle and Rosie. Hope we start to see them warm up to him. Please no crazy twist where he loses them again. Have enjoyed this story and looking forward to its wrap up👨👩👧...

I have been in love with this novel but I don’t know how much patience I have to wait until the to finish line. Dear Author, can you atleast give us some idea about how long is this going to be or if there’s any turning point coming soon. And it would be great if you could upload at least 10 chapters at once. 5 chapters is making me more impatience with the anticipation of the further story of novel🙈...
I really hope there is a turning point in this story where Noelle starts to show some interest in Hendrix...
