Hendrix's phone continued to ring. Beside him, Jerry was still rambling about something. The man sitting next to her was speaking animatedly, trying to explain himself.
But all those sounds faded into nothing for Hendrix. His vision narrowed to only the woman in front of him. She was sitting beside the man, wearing a rough but clean white shirt, her hair tied into a low ponytail.
Hendrix was actually standing quite far from her. But the woman's figure was etched into his mind. His breathing grew rapid, his hands clenched, and even his shoulders began to tremble slightly.
"Mr. Freeman?" Jerry had been talking the whole time. But when he realized Hendrix hadn't responded, he couldn't help but call out to him.
Hendrix didn't answer. He just stood there, staring intently at the woman.
"Mr. Freeman, are you—" Jerry wanted to say more, but Hendrix had already started walking toward her.
At first, his steps were hesitant, stiff, and slow. But then, his pace quickened.
By the time he reached the table, his steps were almost unsteady. Then, he saw her face. The face he had dreamed of day and night now appeared before him after 36 days of being apart.
Hendrix's heart pounded violently, and his lips even twitched. He wanted to say something, but his vocal cords and other senses seemed to vanish at that moment.
He simply stared at the woman in front of him, from head to toe. She had lost weight. Her skin was a bit more tanned, and there was a scar on her temple. With just a glance, Hendrix noticed all the changes on her.

Woah chapters 41-45 is intense!! Good to see Noelle’s character who has come across as mostly detached actually express emotion....
I find Noelle’s character so frustrating, she comes across lacking any true emotion. The chapters where Rosie was missing was probably the most where we have seen some strong outward emotion shown. Dreading these next few chapters if she is going to do something drastic to “go find Seline” The author has taken us on a rollercoaster with these characters. The novel feels like it is at a stage now where they can come full circle....
A good change of pace and story in the last 10 chapters. Good to see the shift in Hendrix’s character (more patience) to win over Noelle and Rosie. Hope we start to see them warm up to him. Please no crazy twist where he loses them again. Have enjoyed this story and looking forward to its wrap up👨👩👧...

I have been in love with this novel but I don’t know how much patience I have to wait until the to finish line. Dear Author, can you atleast give us some idea about how long is this going to be or if there’s any turning point coming soon. And it would be great if you could upload at least 10 chapters at once. 5 chapters is making me more impatience with the anticipation of the further story of novel🙈...
I really hope there is a turning point in this story where Noelle starts to show some interest in Hendrix...
