Chapter 158
In Training Room Four, Wendy returned after dinner and noticed that the other nine members were all busy training except for Quiana, She asked casually. “Where’s Quiana?”
At the mention of her name, Nora’s face darkened. She snorted sarcastically. “She’s probably addeep”
The others thought. What? With only five days until the performance, everyone stays awake and keeps training day and night. And it is only eight–thirty in the evening! How dare she go to bed now?
Jessica scoffed, “She’s in the venue during the day, holding the music sheets in front of the cameras and acting all serious What a hypocritical girl!”
“Teamwork, huh? You treat her like she’s part of the team, but she doesn’t even consider us that way? Nora was clearly upset.
The others‘ expressions weren’t much better. Wendy frowned and said, “I’ll go check on her.”
In the dormitory without cameras, Quiana sat by the bed alone, her slender legs casually dangling and her fair skin glowing under the light. Her head was lowered, the faint light from her phone screen reflecting on her face. She looked somehow. little down.
When Wendy opened the door, she saw Quiana, who didn’t seem to mind her presence, raising her head slightly. Her sharp. cold eyes held a hint of cruel indifference. “What’s wrong?” she asked.
Wendy felt that she could be very approachable at times, but at other moments, she was as cold and fierce as a lone wolf. 1eping everyone at bay.
Wendy instinctively shrank her neck, her gaze briefly flicking to the phone in Quiana’s hand. She paused for a moment and said, “Are you feel unwell?”
e
Quiana frowned slightly. “No.”
Wendy was surprised. Then she asked, “Aren’t you training?” As the team leader, she had to take care of the training progress.
Quiana’s frown deepened. I’ve already memorized the dance and music.
Memorizing and being able to perform it were two different things. Therefore, Wendy tried to stay patient. “Even though you’re doing well, the public performance is the real test. There are only five days left. You need to train properly and memorize those dance moves.”
Quiana tilted her head slightly with her bright eyes fixed on Wendy. “If I’ve memorized it, doesn’t that mean I can do it?” Wendy was at a loss for words. She thought, ‘Dors Quiana not understand what I meant, or is she deliberately trying to irritate me? But the seriousness on her face doesn’t seem fake. What is she thinking exactly?‘
Wendy paused for a moment and said, “I know you’re great at singing, but this is a team performance, which requires cooperation and positioning. The performance would be judged individually, so if she didn’t put in the effort, no one could
save her.
Wendy was speechless. Before today, she hadn’t thought Quiana would be so hard to communicate with. She just felt that Quiana’s eyes were so cold, dark, and unreadable, making her feel like she couldn’t get a clear read on her.
Wendy got up to leave, but she stopped at the door, asking curiously, “You are better than any of us, Quiana, so why don’t you want to be the team leader?”
