Chapter 162
Chapter 162
The venue for the public performance was the Liberty Island Stadium. Early in the morning, the group arrived by car. The vast backstage area had a separate dressing room for each team. Four mentors were already there.
Jocelyn looked at the list and sighed, “Sandy has been working so hard these past few days”
“How can she not! Of course, she has to work hard. It’s not easy to get in, and if she gets eliminated in the first round, even with fans, it would still be very bad for her, Jocelyn thought.
Trainees in Grade A are really putting in the effort, Alex said, clearly favoring Lucy and Sarah the most.
“Quiana’s performance has been pretty amazing, surprising everyone, but…” Eric added, “the public performance is all about the votes, and she’s probably going to be at the bottom.” After all, Quiana had a ton of negative press around her.
Ryan, with his dazzling blond hair, shot a glance at the group and smirked. “What if she pulls off a miracle?”
If prejudice were a mountain, Quiana would be carrying at least ten. Not only was it uncertain whether Quiana could nail
the performance, but even if she did, the audience might not change their minds and still hate her.
–
On stage, they didn’t have much hope for Quiana. Jocelyn chuckled. “Ryan seems to have believed in Quiana from the start. I’m starting to wonder if you’re just a sucker for her looks.”
They didn’t suspect Ryan and Quiana knew each other because they seemed completely unrelated.
Ryan glanced at her: his expression cool “I think she’ll pull off a miracle. It wasn’t just trust; it was blind faith.
Jocelyn didn’t take his words seriously, standing up and heading toward the backstage area. The audience is already in. I’ll
heck on their prep.
Eternal Melody was a song filled with heroic spirit. The outfits chosen by Wendy were more on the neutral side. Black tops, black shorts, and silver accessories. The ten members wore the same colors but different styles, some long and some short.
Sofia was adjusting the decorations when she caught sight of someone coming out of the dressing room. Her eyes widened in amazement. “She looks incredible “
Everyone turned their gaze towards her. Quiana had her long hair tied up in a high ponytail, secured with a sword–shaped hairpin. She wore a tight black top with long sleeves, accentuating her slender waist, delicate like a willow branch, easily held in one hand.
Her fiery shorts showcased her tall figure and two legs that were both straight and endlessly long. Her skin was fair and smooth, almost glowing under the lights. Her boots reached up to her knees.
Even without makeup, her face was breathtakingly beautiful. The usual laziness was nowhere to be seen, replaced by an elusive aura of mischief.
Rebellious and solitary, she exuded a sharp and decisive presence. Cool and distant, she carried an ethereal charm, as if she had stepped out of a book, a true martial heroine.
Her otherworldly demeanor and strong aura made her both fierce and cool. Her beauty was mesmerizing, drawing everyone’s eyes. Her face and figure were truly lethal weapons.
The sword–shaped hairpin had what seemed to be plum blossoms carved at its end. Made of silver, it refracted light in the spotlight, emitting a sharp, cold aura. It was exquisitely crafted.
Quiana crossed her legs, propped her chin on one hand, and tilted her head slightly, her eyes slanted upwards, her voice tinged with a flirtatious tone. “Do you like it?”
