Chapter 198
Winston sighed, “At least it’s not zero.”
+68
Alina furrowed her brows and said, “This vote will play a decisive role in the fourth performance. No matter how good the performance is, if the votes don’t meet the standard, she won’t make it to the finals.”
Initially, she only wanted Quiana to make an appearance on the show to reintroduce her to the audience. If she could attract a few fans based on her looks, that would be a bonus, but she had not expected Quiana to form a group and debut.
However, after seeing Quiana’s performance, she changed her mind. Quiana’s performance was at a master level, like that of a stage queen. If she didn’t debut, it would be a crime against talent.
She thought it could be worth a try. However, with Quiana’s limited fan base, it would be a real challenge.
Winston frowned as he looked at the other girls‘ profiles and votes. “The top five are all from big companies,” he said.
Big companies had the financial resources and influence, and they likely decided who would debut. After all, while the first season of a show like that was new and exciting, by the second season, the organizers were primarily focused on profit.
“If Quiana doesn’t make it in the end, it’s their loss. They don’t deserve her!” Alina grumbled, her mind racing. She added, “I’ll come up with a way to boost the votes. No matter what, we can’t fall short in numbers or support!”
“Send me the voting link,” Julius said, his calm, indifferent voice suddenly breaking in.
Winston and Alina turned their heads, suddenly remembering that Julius was still there.
His presence was commanding, but their attention had been entirely focused on Quiana and the voting, causing them to forget about him.
Winston was a bit confused. He asked, “Mr. Hawley, do you mean-”
Julius‘ fingers swiped across the screen of his phone. He was expressionless as he repeated, “Give it to me.”
There was no room for argument. No one could fathom his thoughts, but his presence was intimidating.
Alina and Winston exchanged glances before silently stepping forward. They added Julius on WhatsApp and sent him the voting link.
In Star Entertainment’s private lounge, a tablet displayed a performance video obtained from backstage through
connections.
Winona’s expression turned dark and uncomfortable as she watched Quiana’s electrifying performance.
She had persuaded Mandy and Simon to send Quiana to Miracle Show, hoping she would embarrass herself and be targeted and bullied. However, she had never expected Quiana to be so talented at singing and dancing.
The mentors, who had initially disliked her, ended up praising her and even considered signing her on the spot–an unprecedented move in such talent shows.
“Relax. She has no fan base at all. Right now, she only has 49 external votes, which puts her at the bottom,” Yulia reassured them. Then she added, “In a few days, some gossip accounts will post about her, and since Quiana has no fans, she definitely won’t make it to the next round.”
Winona gripped the tablet tightly and said in a low voice, “I want her reputation completely ruined!”
