Chapter 130
Cody couldn’t get any information about Mitchell from Shakira and stormed off, his face dark with anger,
Seeing Cody trip slightly as he left, Shakira’s eyes crinkled with amusement.
Turning to Walter, she smoothly shifted into flattery mode, “Wow, the young master was truly amazing just now, a single word and bam! If not for his brilliance, I’d have been in real trouble!”
Walter let out a cold laugh. “If I wasn’t around, Cody might have had to leave on a stretcher.”
Shakira’s eyes widened-was she really that sharp-tongued?
Before she could respond, Shakira’s phone rang. It was an unknown number and she answered it.
A man’s uncertain voice came through, “Is this Shakira?”
Shakira raised an eyebrow, “Yes, it’s me. Are you a friend of Mitchell’s?”
Slade sounded quite surprised, “You know me?”
Shakira answered truthfully, “Last time at the apartment parking lot, you were with Mitchell. I recognized your voice.” Slade was even more amazed, praising her repeatedly, “You remember that and recognized me too? That’s impressive!”
He couldn’t wait to ask, “Did the Nelson family come looking for you?”
Shakira raised an eyebrow, “How do you know that?”
She didn’t deny it, which was a clear confirmation.
Slade quickly apologized, feeling guilty, “I’m sorry! Yvette called me early this morning, asking where Mitchell was.
“I was still hazy from drinking last night and accidentally mentioned Mitchell’s suspicion that the nurse might have switch

babies at the hospital and that he drove out of town last night to find someone…”
Shakira’s eyelashes fluttered gently, but she didn’t say a word.
It was obvious Slade hadn’t sobered up yet, still rambling to himself over there,
“Mitchell repeatedly warned me not to tell you about this until he had figured everything out and could tell you himself. But now… sigh! Anyway, I can’t reach him. I don’t know what misunderstanding happened between you two siblings, but Mitchell is really trying his best to make it up to you.
“That kid was really impulsive! He called me last night, saying it was the fake address I sent him… I was dumbfounded, as I’d been drinking the whole time and hadn’t sent him anything.
“He asked me to help find someone to check it out, but so far, my guys couldn’t find anything. How could I have told him where that nurse is?” Slade said.
Hearing this, Shakira’s eyes suddenly narrowed, “Are you saying someone impersonated you and tricked him with a fake address?”
“Yes!” Slade replied, his voice trembling.
Shakira thought for a moment, then suddenly asked, “What time did Mitchell call you last night?”
Slade checked the call log, “It was almost one in the morning.”

A shadow crossed Shakira’s eyes.

Cody claimed that the last person Mitchell contacted was her, indicating that they hadn’t checked with Slade yet. But Yvette was able to quickly reach out to Slade to find out where Mitchell was…”
This means Yvette knew where Mitchell was going because Slade told her.
Shakira thought for a moment and asked Slade, “When he called you last night, did he mention where he was or describe the place?”
“I think he did say something, but I was drinking last night, I… darn it, why was I drinking like that!” Slade cursed himself in frustration, trying hard to remember.
Shakira patiently waited without rushing him.
After a while, Slade suddenly exclaimed, “I remember now! He asked me if I was sure the person was really in the mountains. I could hear loud engine noises in the background like he was struggling to climb a hill.”
Shakira casually asked, “Do you know what car he was driving last night?”
Slade was taken aback, “A Porsche, I think. He’s been driving his 911 a lot lately.”
“Okay”. Shakira abruptly hung up, leaving Slade on the other end confused.
She lifted her gaze and met Walter’s deep, unfathomable eyes.
Walter spoke, asking simply, “Do you want to look for him?”
Shakira blinked, her expression indifferent, just as she had been cool and relaxed dealing with Cody earlier.
“Why ask like that? The Nelson family will handle it themselves.”
She glanced at the time and hurried upstairs. “I’m almost late for school, so I’m heading out now!”
Walter kept his eyes fixed on her figure.
After Shakira entered the elevator, Walter turned to Brian and said, “Send someone to look for her.”
Brian was puzzled and couldn’t help but ask, “Sir, didn’t Ms. Nelson say not to look?”
Walter glanced at him and said calmly, “She claims not to care, but whenever Mitchell’s friends call, she inquires everything. If she really didn’t want to find him, she wouldn’t ask a single thing.”

Hearing this, Brian suddenly understood and couldn’t help but remark, “I see, Master, you’re getting to know Ms. Nelson better and better.”
Walter snorted, his tone carrying a hint of pride he wasn’t even aware of himself, “The smallest move she makes, like raising her tail, and I can already guess her little schemes.”
Brian muttered to himself, “So Ms. Nelson has already figured out the situation and doesn’t want the Master to find her because she wants to handle it herself?”
In an instant, the smile vanished from the man in the wheelchair, and his expression turned as cold as ice.
Realizing his mistake, Brian quickly added, “Perhaps Ms. Nelson just doesn’t want to trouble the Master.”
Walter’s face darkened as he snapped sharply, “Who cares about her business!”
After saying that, he maneuvered his wheelchair and turned to leave.

Chapter 130
Brian stood there, quite troubled, wondering whether he should search or not.
Shakira grabbed her backpack and headed out the door.
On her way to school, she opened the satellite map app on her phone and had a small calculator window on the screen.
She calculated the speed of Mitchell’s Porsche 911 and drew several circles on the map.
Then she sent an address to Sean: [Can you check if there was a Porsche 911 exiting any highway stations between 9 PM and 1 AM last night?]
Sean called right away, “Didn’t you already give up on the Nelson family? Why are you helping them find someone now?”
Shakira was taken aback, “You know about Mitchell’s disappearance?”
“Of course! The Nelson family made a huge scene early this morning and even wanted to borrow our tech staff from Yonder Digital. No way I’m lending them!”
Shakira nodded, “You’re right, don’t lend them any help.”
Sean was just starting to feel smug, thinking of praising the boss for keeping a clear head.
But the next moment, he heard Shakira say, “Lend me your team, find them quickly.”
“No way, this could easily be an internal issue with the Nelson residence. They might even blame you for it, and you’re still helping them?” Sean asked,
Shakira looked out at the street through the car window, her face showing no emotion, “I’m not helping the Nelson residence, I’m helping myself.”
