Chapter 147
When Shakira returned to the small villa, she happened to overhear Fiona talking to Walter. Her tone was as haughty as ever, but this time it was mixed with a sticky sense of grievance and sobbing.
“Walter, Matthew has softened his stance. He promised that once he’s finished with the diplomatic summit, he’ll treat your legs,” said Fiona.
“You have no idea how miserable I am. He is odd–tempered, requiring cleaning the small attic and changing coffee daily. Even the orchids are delicate than I am and have to be moved right away if the sun shines too much or the wind blows hard” added Fiona.
Walter listened to Fiona’s complaints over the phone. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Shakira at the study door. In a low, indifferent tone, he said. “I don’t need you to do this for me. If you can’t handle it, go back Fiona immediately fell silent.
She deliberately said so much, hoping to hear Walter’s gratitude and affection. Instead, he simply didn’t get romance.
She coyly said, “Walter. I’m doing this willingly for you. No matter how hard it is, I can get through it.” Afraid Walter would say something else that might upset her, Fiona quickly hung up the phone.
Walter put down his phone, rubbing his throbbing temples. “How long do you plan to eavesdrop?”
Shakira walked in at a leisurely pace. “You’re falsely accusing me I’m listening openly” Walter lowered his hand and looked up at the woman approaching him.
Fiona
na went to ask Matthew for help,” said Walter
Shakira nodded. “Yeah, yeah, I could tell,”
“She endured a lot at Matthew’s place. Whether or not he agrees to help treat my illness, I owe Fiona a favor,” said Walter.
Shakira suddenly smiled. “Isn’t it your favor that she’s after, sir?
Walter stared closely at her beautiful face. His eyebrows curved with a mischievous glint in his eyes. He caught the teasing tone in her words and his deep eyes darkened a bit. Then tell me. How should I repay her?”
Shakira blurted out. “Give yourself?”
Big Devil’s face shifted to a cold, hostile look as if he wanted to freeze her into an icicle. Seeing this, Shakira tried to fix it before he could act. “That’s not going to work. How could I let my wise and dashing master go for so little?”
Big Devil’s expression warmed up a little. Shakira, ever the flunky, smiled sheepishly. “Besides, if we calculate it that way. I’d have to offer myself in return for your generosity.”
Big Devil, with an incredibly handsome and slightly arrogant face, looked at her. “I helped you. You repay me with.
resentment?”
Shakira ground her teeth in frustration.
Walter waved his hand dismissively. “T’ll leave this matter for you to handle.
I don’t said Shakira
“The money for those three cakes earlier can be considered your payment,” said Walter.
Shakira immediately perked up, “I promise to make Ms. Banks Jeppy.” Walter nodded in satisfaction, clearly in a good

Chapter 147
GG
Walter was busy with the diplomatic summit for several days in a row, giving Shakira a rare break. Out of boredom, she decided to play with the alligator in the yard.
Thanks to her attention, the once chubby Otto that couldn’t even move fast had slimmed down by a fifth and was much quicker now.
Even the pet doctor who came by for a check–up couldn’t stop penising Shakira had gotten Otto healthier than before.”
Xanthe had been pestering Shakira for days until she finally agreed to go dress shopping with her two days before the summit. After explaining to Walter, he handed her a black card.
Shakira blinked. “There are still plenty of clothes with tags upstairs Walter replied, “Having them at home is one thing, but finding something
u like outside is a different matter.”
Shakira’s mind clicked. “So you won’t reduce my pay, right?”
Walter gave her a cold look. “Try saying one more word.”
Shakira giggled as she took it. Thanks, sir.”
After meeting up at the mall, Xanthe immediately gave Shakira a big bear hug. “Wow. Shakira, I didn’t expect you to come. 1 thought you were just saying that to make me happy. You’re the best.”
Shakira struggled to push her away, with her mouth twitching slightly at the comment. “Is it too late for me to head back
Xanthe clutched her arm tightly and shook her head firmly. “You’re not leaving until we’re too tired to walk from shopping
Shakira was speechless. She really wanted to leave now.
Actually, Xanthe had been here a few times on her own and was interested in a few LK haute couture dresses. She couldn’t make up her mind, so she brought Shakira to help her decide.
She changed into a dress and twirled around several times in front of Shakira. “Shakira, which one do you think looks best!”
Shakira analyzed. “The pink one with the sparkling crystals is too flashy and would overshadow others at a summit, which isn’t suitable. The silver open–back design felt too casual and wasn’t formal enough. The velvet dress, though simple, was much more elegant.”
Xanthe suddenly realized. “Right. The salesperson kept encouraging me to choose the pink or the open–back one, saying they would make me stand out. I felt something was off. Your explanation makes sense. I trust you, Shakira. Let’s go with the velvet one.”
Shakira smiled and wandered around the shop while Xanthe changed clothes. As she was browsing, she noticed a men’s display window with a sapphire brooch that had a unique moon–and–stars design.
Shakira asked the shop assistant to take it out for a closer look. Just then, she heard some cheerful voices nor far behind her saying, “Mrs. Nelson, you look amazing. One might think you and Ms. Nelson are sisters.”
No woman can resist such compliments. Rebecca couldn’t hide her good mood as she said, “Don’t tease me. I’m here with шу daughter to pick out a dress. She has a very important event in a few days.”
When she shifted the conversation to Yvette, her pride and happiness were evident.
