After the meeting ended, everyone else left promptly except for Shakira’s masters who remained sitting calmly. Shakira got up and waited patiently for Jasmin, the last person to leave. 

Jasmin peeked inside curiously and asked, “Hey, Shakira, aren’t you leaving?” Shakira placed her hands on the door with a calm demeanor and said, “I have a few things to handle.” With that, she pushed the door shut. 

Jasmin touched his nose, tempted to press his car against the door to listen in, but was taken aback when his master turned around and gave him a sharp glare. “Hurry up and leave!” Jasmin quickly dropped his curiosity and left reluctantly. 

In the meeting room, Shakira glanced at the surveillance camera as it shut automatically, then leaned against the door with her arms crossed. She looked at her masters, who had been full of vigor a moment ago but now sat quietly with their heads down. 

Shakira wiggled her finger and said, “So, who came up with the idea?” Her words echoed around the large conference room, but her masters remained still. 

Shakira was quite surprised, not expecting them to be so united this time. But it wasn’t a big deal for her. She spoke again, “Recently, I’ve learned new recipes and can make a variety of dishes without repeating any… 

Before she could finish speaking, Ethan, Yael, and Barret all pointed to Matthew. Matthew lifted his hand, unable to pin the blame on anyone else, only managing to glare in frustration. 

“You cowardly traitors!” said Matthew. Barret grumbled. “If you’re brave, then try not eating.” Yael chimed in. “You were the one who started it all.” Ethan agreed, “That’s right! That’s right!” Matthew was truly getting annoyed by his useless 

teammates. 

Shakira stifled her laughter as she approached Matthew. “You are a great mentor to me.” 

Matthew took a deep breath and gathered his courage. “If you don’t go, then I have to go. I’ve been retired for ages and have to be on a show. Isn’t easy for me, is it?” 

Matthew kept saying, “As my apprentice, it’s your job to help ease my burdens. I’m not wrong!” 

Then he continued, “People are still talking behind your back, saying you just have an empty reputation. It annoys me! Don’t they know how talented my apprentice is? We should show them, really teach those gossipers a lesson!” 

Seeing how huffy Matthew was, Shakira laughed. “Okay, don’t be upset. I know you’d never set up your disciple.” Shakira gently patted Matthew’s back. Even though Matthew’s complaints seemed offhand, Shakira could tell he was sincerely upset. 

How lucky she was to have met her masters who genuinely cared for her. They were not her family but meant even more to her. With people outside looking down on her, she felt she should prove herself instead of letting it trouble her masters. 

Shakira replied, “I’ve already agreed to it. Since I don’t have to show my face on the show, I’m fine with it. Besides, you taught me so much, but I haven’t contributed much to you or the medical field. Just promoting it on a show isn’t difficult.” 

Hearing Shakira’s words, Matthew’s heart softened immediately How could he not know Shakira’s temperament? Shakira appeared tuff on the surface, but deep down, she was softer. 

“Good girl, we all know we judged you correctly. As Matthew spoke, he couldn’t help but snort, “Only those blind fools of the Nelson family can’t tell right from wrong!” Hearing this, Shakira burst out laughing. 

After leaving the government building, Kevin sent a message to his assistant to start preparing for the program. Not long after, Rebecca called him. 

Kevin’s wife, Hazel, was childhood friends with Rebecca. The Nelson family recently invited them for dinner, which played a key role in helping Yvette successfully secure this variety show.

Saying this, Rebecca quickly instructed the servant next to her to tell Yvette and Felix the good news. Upon hearing this, Kevin understood. Shakira kept her identity so low–key that even her own family didn’t know.
