Shakira mumbled as she walked toward the bathroom. “What a strange man” When she pushed the heavy door open, she heard a very clear sound. “Meow.” 

Her heart pounded violently as she pushed the door open. Then an almost magical scene unfolds before her ey

The two little kittens as well as the big cats had all been put in the bathroom. Now the kittens all went to her and rubbed against her legs, asking her for milk while the big cats lay casually on the warm floor. They squinted at her before drifting into sleep again. 

Shakira was so overjoyed that she even wanted to scream. She picked up a kitten and rushed to Walter, unable to hide her joyfulness. She looked flustered and happy. 

She asked. “When did you bring them back?” 

Looking at her smiling face and her bright eyes focused on him Walter thought her happiness was infectious and smiled a 

little. 

Walter explained. “Levi and Benji both said you liked them so I asked Brian to bring them all back.” 

After a brief pause, Walter added, “Brian took them to the vet for a check–up and had them dewormed. The bigger ones were a bit overweight. Everything else is fine.” 

As expected, ginger cats could manage to gain some weight even when they were strays! 

The little kitten in Shakira’s hand shivered a lot. She instinctively put one kitten in Walter’s arms. Not expecting a kitten to suddenly be put in his arms, Walter became nervous right away 

He was too afraid to move. He allowed the little kitten clumsily walk on him, too afraid to move. 

Shakira was surprised by his reaction. “Are you afraid of cats?” 

“No,” Walter said with a sullen face, “They’re so tiny, I dare not to touch them.” 

He didn’t tell her everything he was thinking about. He was afraid that if he did it a bit too hard, he might accidentally kill the kittens.

He continued, “The big cat is around two years old and has been a stray for a while. It might take some time to get used to everything here. Luckily, it is large enough here.
