In the parking lot, Finn shouted, “Felix!” 

Finn strode over to Felix and stopped him before he could get into the car. Being the eldest brother, Finn thought it was his responsibility to mediate between his siblings. 

He said. “I know you’ve admired Lonely Bird for a long time. You don’t want to give up. Yvette didn’t handle it well. After I finish my work at the end of the year, I’ll go with you to apologize to Lonely Bird” 

Felix’s face softened a bit. He said. “Finn, I’ll apologize to Lonely Bird. You have nothing to do with it.” 

Then Felix paused looking like he was hesitating about something. 

Finn said. “If you’re worried about anything, just tell me. We’re brothers. There’s nothing we can’t share with each other.” 

Felix breathed a sigh of relief and glanced back at the room. He said coldly, “Do you think I was too hard on Yvette this 

time? 

Finn didn’t answer it right away. 

Felix continued, “Yes, we only have one younger sister. We’ve been doing on her since we were little. No matter what mistakes she made, we would forgive her unconditionally as long as we didn’t have to compromise our principles. 

“But this time, I can’t convince myself to forgive her.”

Felix’s face showed a mix of complex emotions. He said, “If she truly had a kind heart and cared for Lonely Bird, she shouldn’t have said that. She should have waited for the hospital and the police to find out the truth. 

“She shouldn’t have accused Lonely Bird of it like the overbearing Banks family so readily! 

“I know I ought to stand by Yvette without any hesitation, like Mom and Grandma, and forgive her little slip–ups. But I just can’t convince myself!” 

Felix looked up at Finn and asked blankly, “Finn, am I wrong to blame Yvette, or is it’s really Yvette fault?” 

Seeing that Felix was emotional, Finn was momentarily dazed, looking at his unfocused eyes. 

Finn and his brothers didn’t look very much alike. But at that moment, Finn thought he was having an illusion. 

He felt like the one who was questioning him was not Felix but Mitchell, who had been missing for so long-

He broke into a smile with relief. “Thank you, Finn.”
