Chapter 12 

Cecilia looked at the defiant assistant coldly and sneered. “If you regret it, feel free to come to me.” 

After saying that, she called the chancellor. 

Yvette kicked the assistant angrily. “Don’t think that if you don’t say it, we won’t know you’re under Juliana’s instruction!” 

The assistant pretended not to hear it. 

At this time, Cecilia had already connected with the chancellor. 

“Mr. Lane, please fire the assistant of Studio No. 5.” 

Hearing this, the assistant burst into laughter. 

“Just like that? You’re quite the actress! You should be in the performing arts department, not the music department!” 

Even Juliana and Yvette didn’t have the authority to order the chancellor to do anything. 

“She is a brainless country bumpkin who can’t even act,” the assistant thought. 

On the other end of the phone, the chancellor heard the assistant’s ridicule and agreed to Cecilia’s request without even asking why. “All right. I’ll arrange it immediately.” 

Soon after the call, the assistant quickly received a dismissal notice from the HR Department. 

The assistant couldn’t believe his eyes when he saw the dismissal notice signed personally by Hendrix. 

“It must be fake!” he thought. 

Yet, it had Hendrix’s personal seal and the HR department’s official stamp. It couldn’t be fake. 

He soon understood what was going on. 

“Mr. Lane and Cecilia are involved in some way!” he thought.

That was why Cecilia could skip classes, bully classmates without consequences, and even be a mistress without anyone intervening. 

With this realization, he pointed at Cecilia’s nose and scolded, “Don’t think you can be untouchable at Quilton University by having S** with Mr. Lane!” 

Everyone was stunned when they heard this. 

In their eyes, Hendrix had always been a model of virtue. They never thought that he would be involved in such scandalous affairs. 

Cecilia looked at the assistant who was turning the tables on her and gave him a cold, icy glare. “Shut your filthy mouth, or I’ll make sure you regret it.” 

“You dare to threaten me even after your secret is out? You’re such a…” Before the assistant could finish his words, 

Christopher kicked him, sending him flying. 

Crashing into the wall heavily, he smashed on the ground. His face hit the ground, causing him to lose two teeth and bleeding profusely. 

He must have broken some bones because he winced in pain with every movement. 

Yvette swallowed hard, immediately distanced herself from Christopher, and moved closer to Cecilia. 

She asked in a low voice, “Ceci, you’re not scared, are you?” 

Cecilia wasn’t scared at all. She just felt that Christopher was being too meddlesome. 

She preferred to take revenge on her own. 

Nevertheless, she couldn’t be ungrateful to him. 

“Mr. Christopher Forte, although I don’t need your help, thank you.” 

Christopher said with a faint expression, “You’re welcome. I

Deliberately misunderstanding his words, Yvette couldn’t contain her joy. She teased, “Tsk, so the famous Mr. Christopher Forte has athlete’s foot?” 

Cecilia looked puzzled, not understanding what was so amusing. 

After a while, the assistant struggled to get up from the ground. His face was deathly pale, and his mouth was bleeding from where he’d lost two teeth. 

He looked at Christopher, who kicked him. Suppressed by the dominating aura of his opponent, he didn’t dare to argue with the latter. 

Before he left, he glanced at Cecilia viciously. It was evident that he wouldn’t let her go easily. 

However, Cecilia didn’t care. 

He was just a mere chess piece, which she could not be bothered less. 

Christopher looked at the trembling boys with chills in his 

eyes. 

The boys who had been watching in fear immediately rushed to Cecilia and began apologizing profusely 

They had sold Juliana out without hesitation; their own lives were more important. 

However, Juliana had been very smart. She never directly incited them. Instead, she dropped hints, allowing the boys to connect the dots on their own. 

Hence, there was no evidence to prove that she was behind it. 

Cecilia had long known from the beginning that it was not easy to tear Juliana’s mask off. 

She said to one of the boys, “Call Juliana. If she begs me to forgive you, I’ll let you go. Otherwise…”

She didn’t finish her sentence, but her gaze fell to the ground. A puddle of blood marked the spot where the assistant had lost two teeth. 

The boy was terrified, sitting on the ground in a daze as he frantically dialed Juliana’s number. 

At that moment, Juliana was still unaware of what had happened on the third floor. 

Seeing the call, she thought that the boy had done it and was calling to claim victory. 

She answered immediately with a sweet voice, “Kenny…” 

Drawing out the end of her words like a hook, she ensnared the boy’s soul. 

Cecilia took the boy’s phone away and put it on speaker. She taunted, “Juliana, it’s a shame you’re not working as a hostess.” Hearing Cecilia’s voice, Juliana almost threw her phone away in fear. 

Still, she quickly regained her composure. 

Realizing her seduction tactic had been exposed, she bit her lip in anger. “How did Kenneth’s phone end up in your hand?” 

“Because he claimed you were behind his intentional provocations. So, I had him call you and confront you.” 

Juliana, fearing her conversation might be recorded, refused to admit it. “He is talking nonsense. I have nothing to do with it.” 

“Juliana, regardless of the truth, if you beg for his forgiveness, I’ll let it go. Otherwise, he’ll be short two teeth.” 

“Beg you? In your dreams!” 

“Just a word from you to save Kenneth’s teeth. Are you sure you won’t?” 

“No!” Then Juliana hung up the phone without hesitation.

Moreover, she was now the sole heiress of the Yancey family. She would not lower herself to plead for a country bumpkin who had been expelled from the family. 

Cecilia had expected that Juliana would not beg for mercy. 

She had done this to show Juliana’s sycophantic followers that she wasn’t worth their loyalty. 

Her purpose had been achieved. 

Obviously, the boys who had been watching in fear were shocked by Juliana’s coldheartedness. 

Cecilia tossed the phone back to Kenneth and said, “Blame your bad luck. Your teeth will stay.” 

Without setting an example, she thought those people wouldn’t truly fear her. 

Once again, Christopher beat her to the punch, kicking the boy in the face. 

Two bloody teeth flew out. 

“Get lost!” After Christopher’s roar, the remaining boys scrambled away in fear, helping the injured Kenneth retreat. 

Meanwhile, those who had been secretly watching the drama on the third floor disappeared in an instant. 

With the annoying people gone, Christopher’s imposing aura also receded. 

When Cecilia looked at him, he explained, “You’re still a student, and I’m better suited to handle these matters as an outsider.” 

He would protect the ones he favored, not wanting them to make their hands filthy. 

Yvette, however, looked at Christopher in shock.

“Let them say what they want. I don’t care,” After saying that, Cecilia turned to Christopher and said, “Please don’t interfere in my affairs in the future.” 

She came to Quilton University just because the Yancey family wanted her to study. 

Now that she had severed ties with the family, studying or not studying didn’t matter to her. 

This man’s attitude towards her was too peculiar, and it made her wary. 

Christopher looked at Cecilia meaningfully, his lips curled up as he dropped a bombshell. 

“After kissing, hugging and sleeping with me, you still want to distance yourself?” 

Cecilia was dumbfounded. 

She didn’t expect Christopher to bring up that incident so directly. Her face turned red, and she felt extremely embarrassed, wishing she could find a hole to hide in. 

Meanwhile, Yvette was completely stunned, her eyes almost popped out. 

“Christopher, what… What did you say?” 

Christopher looked at Cecilia, who was blushing with
