Chapter 123 

It was Cecilia’s first intimate experience with a man, so it was impossible for her not to be nervous. 

She clutched Christopher’s bathrobe tightly and lost herself in his tender, affectionate kiss. 

When the kiss ended, her head was dizzy, and her cheeks blushed red like the most exquisite rouge in the world. 

Christopher looked at Cecilia’s misty eyes and couldn’t help pecking her red and swollen lips again. 

“Thank you, Ceci.” 

In nearly thirty years of life, he had never felt a moment as joyous as this. 

He wasn’t rejoicing over the kiss itself, but rather that Cecilia had accepted him. 

Cecilia came back to her senses and met Christopher’s intense gaze. She raised her hand to touch the prominent mole at the corner of his eyes. 

“You didn’t let me thank you, but you thanked me now.” 

Christopher didn’t like hearing “thank you” as he found it foreign. 

However, at that moment, he realized that no amount of sweet words could carry the same weight as those two simple words. 

He pressed Cecilia’s head against his chest. “Ceci, I will take care of you for the rest of your life.” 

Cecilia felt incredibly safe while listening to his strong heartbeat. 

“I’ll be responsible for my own life for the rest of my life, but we can walk forward side by side together.” 

“Okay, we will walk forward side by side together.”

They hugged each other for a long time before parting away. Cecilia took her pajamas into the bathroom and made sure to close the bathroom door behind her. 

Christopher left the large bed for Cecilia and took the smaller one himself. 

The two beds were placed side by side, separated by a nightstand in between. 

He leaned against the head of the bed and looked toward the bathroom. 

Even though the sound of running water was much quieter after passing through two closed doors, it still disturbed his thoughts. 

Suddenly, his phone rang. 

Christopher’s eyes turned cold as he turned to the mobile phone on the nightstand. 

Seeing that it was a call from Sebastian, he picked it up. 

“You better have something important to say.” 

His ice-cold tone made Sebastian tense. He replied in a solemn tone, “Mr. Christopher Forte, it’s true that Kenton has some information about Juliana. I’ve already sent it to the police station.” 

Hearing the good news, Christopher’s icy demeanor softened. 

“What was it?” 

“Kenton has helped Juliana scheme against a girl trying to get close to William and used some underhanded methods to undermine her competitor. He has some recorded phone conversations, which I’ve handed over to the police. It won’t be difficult to prove that Juliana was the mastermind.” 

Juliana was certain that Kenton wouldn’t betray her. She was well aware of his fondness for her, and she also had the favor of

chose to communicate with him directly. 

Therefore, now that Kenton had turned against her, she wouldn’t be able to escape. 

Christopher was quite satisfied with the outcome. “Take someone to gather that evidence and get Juliana convicted as soon as possible!” 

“Understood, Mr. Christopher Forte.” 

Before ending the call, Christopher asked, “Is Juliana awake yet?” 

Just getting Juliana convicted wasn’t nearly enough. 

He wanted the woman to live every day in pain and regret! 

Sebastian happened to inquire about Juliana’s condition. “Not yet, but she has passed the critical period.” 

“Keep a close eye on her.”

As soon as Christopher hung up, Cecilia came out of the bathroom. 

She wore a conservative two–piece pajamas set, and the loose clothing concealed her beautiful figure. 

Her face, flushed from the hot shower, was particularly enticing. 

Her wet long hair was wrapped under a dry towel. 

Christopher said, “Ceci, go and get the hairdryer from the dressing room. I’ll help you dry your hair.” 

Cecilia fetched the hairdryer, plugged it in, and handed it to Christopher. 

Then, she sat down on the edge of his smaller bed. 

Buzzing sounds filled her ears as warm air flowed through her wet strands, blowing her scalp with warmth.

How is she?” 

“She better not be dead. My revenge has just begun,” she thought in her heart. 

Christopher’s slender fingers wove through Cecilia’s black and shiny locks. The sight of his fingers intermingling with her hair created a sight of sheer beauty. 

“Juliana is out of danger. She should wake up soon.” 

Hearing that, Cecilia’s lips curved up. “As long as she’s not dead.” 

“Kenton woke up and gave some information to the police. If they found those evidence, Juliana will get at least a ten–year sentence.” 

Then, Christopher continued and asked, “Ceci, how do you plan to take revenge on Juliana?” 

He would deal with Juliana, but he would not sabotage Cecilia’s plan. 

“My revenge has already begun, and it will show results before we leave Quilton.” 

Cecilia didn’t explain her plan in detail, so Christopher didn’t press further. 

It was an unspoken understanding between them. They could confess if they wanted to, but not if they didn’t want to. 

As Cecilia’s hair was almost dry, Christopher brought up the topic of the Yancey family. 

“Ceci, what are your current thoughts about the Yancey family?” 

“Same as before, take away Yancey Corporation and make the Yancey family lose everything.” 

Seeing that her attitude remained unchanged, Christopher continued, “Jeremiah and Jayden have incurred substantial breach of contract penalties. It’s a good opportunity for you to

Although Jonathan had managed to secure more than 2 billion dollars from the project termination fees, those were the company’s money and couldn’t be touched. 

And the Yancey family was unlikely to have nearly 2 billion dollars in liquid assets. 

To help Jeremiah and Jayden fill their financial holes, they would have to sell their real estate or Yancey Corporation’s shares. 

Either way, it would be a severe blow to the Yancey family! 

It was also Cecilia’s best chance to acquire Yancey Corporation. Cecilia thought so, too. She had been monitoring Yancey Corporation covertly.
