Cecilia was well aware of the terror her adversary had instilled. “Don’t worry, Evan. I hold my life dear and won’t behave recklessly,” she assured him. 

She yearned for vengeance, yet she also craved survival.

After ending the call, Cecilia made her way to Christopher’s study. 

There, she found Christopher seated at his desk with his eyes fixed on the computer screen and his fingers moving swiftly across the keyboard. 

Upon hearing her enter, he didn’t lift his head to acknowledge her. “Ceci, take a seat for a moment. I’ll be done reviewing the

Upon hearing Christopher’s response, Cecilia ceased bothering him and retrieved her phone to investigate further.
