Hearing the scream of “Cecilia“, Yvette immediately stood up and asked nervously, “Ceci, what’s wrong?” 

Hearing this, Selene looked up with worry in her eyes. 

Jason sneered, “She’s fine. She accidentally sprained her ankle.” 

Then, he hung up the phone. 

Looking at her blackened screen, Yvette felt that something was weird with the phone call. 

Selene continued to rub her uncomfortable right eye and asked, “Is something wrong with Cecilia?” 

“No.” 

“That’s good. Why do you look so worried?” 

“There’s something wrong with this phone call.” 

After saying that, Yvette repeated the call to Selene. 

Selene also felt that there was something wrong. With Cecilia’s personality, she wouldn’t make this strange call. 

“Yvie, call and ask.” 

Plus, Cecilia had twisted her ankle while talking on the phone. 

A twisted mouth was a more reliable reason than a twisted 

ankle. 

Yvette nodded and immediately called Cecilia back. 

However, before her finger touched the dial button, Fiona called. 

She didn’t think too much and clicked answer. “Fiona, did you forget to take something?”

She replied, “Yes. It’s in my room. Can you ask the driver to

“Okay, I’ll look for it.” 

After the phone was hung up, Jason, who imitated Fiona’s voice, grinned evilly.

She called Cecilia while going upstairs, but she didn’t get through. 

Thus, Yvette decided to call Christopher and ask about Cecilia after finding out what Fiona left behind. 

When she arrived at Fiona’s bedroom, she saw the kraft 

envelope on the dresser. 

Yvette immediately called Fiona and said, “Fiona, I’ll have the driver send that kraft envelope to you right away.” 

After saying that, she hung up the phone and went downstairs. Fiona, on the other end of the phone, was confused. 

After snapping to her senses, she checked her briefcase. 

It turned out she had forgotten the most important file. 

She had just added something she found to the file, but she forgot to put it back into the briefcase. 

Fiona knocked on her head and said to herself, “My memory is hopeless. However, how did Yvie know that I left something behind again?”

Fiona went upstairs to the lounge and changed into the reporter’s uniform when “Yvette” called. 

“Fiona, the driver’s car is parked opposite the newspaper office.” 

“So soon?” 

“They took a shortcut, so there wasn’t any traffic jam.” 

Fiona hung up the phone after answering. She walked to the floor–to–ceiling window of her office and looked down. 

As expected, she saw a black Audi parked opposite the newspaper office. 

Fiona still felt doubtful, though. She wanted Yvette to tell the driver to bring up the kraft kraft envelope. 

However, she found that her cell phone was dead and couldn’t be turned on. 

While she was fiddling with her phone, the team leader came to urge, “Fiona, it’s almost time. Are you ready?” 

“I’ll be ready soon. I won’t delay the live streaming.” 

After promising, Fiona went downstairs to get the documents. Just in case, she even confirmed it was her family’s license plate number before approaching the car. 

As soon as she got to the back seat of the car, the door was opened and a hand reached out and pulled her in. 

It happened so suddenly that she staggered and fell into the

The car started its engine and left the newspaper office quickly. After a while, the real driver of the Yates family arrived at the newspaper office. 

He called Fiona, but he didn’t get through. Thus, he went directly to the newspaper office and asked the receptionist to inform Fiona to come down and get the materials. 

The receptionist said, “Ms. Yates has just gone out. Please wait a moment. She will be back soon.”
