While the quartet who controlled the organization of masterminds was still discussing how to test Charlie, he had already arrived at the entrance of the Shaw residence. 

The current Shaw residence was not much different from the Shaw 

residence more than 20 years ago. 

Only the trees inside were taller and luxuriant, and the maroon–colored doors were repainted with a brighter color. 

The memory he hid deep within his mind was awakened instantly, making his eyes turn red. 

Twenty three years had passed, and he was finally back.

That was Zachary’s favorite saying. Whenever Zachary came to play with him, Zachary greeted him in such a way. 

The door of the Shaw residence soon opened, and Bruce showed up. 

“Zachary, you’re here. Please come in.” 

As he spoke, he took the gifts from Charlie with a gentle smile.

For Zachary, he had left Acocester 17 years ago.

Bruce noticed his gaze and explained, “Ms. Yancey likes peaches as well as peach blossoms, so Mrs. Shaw moved the orange tree to the backyard and planted peach trees here.” 

Charlie suddenly understood and nodded. “No wonder! I remember an orange tree was planted there before I went to Jacaster. Mrs. Shaw is so kind to that cold and distant girl.” 

In truth, he had learned from Zachary all the vivid memories Zachary had before Zachary went to Jacaster. 

Although it was not detailed enough, he could still fool the others with his brain injury if they suspected him. 

Bruce smiled. “Because Ms. Yancey deserves it.” 

After saying that, he entered the main hall with Charlie. 

Elaine was sitting upright on the couch. She stared at the completely different–looking Charlie and reached out to him. 

“Zachary, you have suffered a lot.” 

Charlie felt a lump in his throat upon hearing that. He resisted the urge to rush forward and hug Elaine and walked forward slowly. 

He held her hand and said heartlessly, “Only old people like you always talk about ‘suffering.‘ No matter what we have experienced in the past, it’s a life treasure for young people like us.”
