Cecilia was about to open the door of the sanitization room when she heard Fiona’s words. She immediately let off the door handle. 

“Fiona, what happened to Yvie?” 

Fiona quickly explained the situation. 

It happened half an hour ago. 

Yvette had made plans to watch the new movie produced by the Yates Corporation with her friends. 

However, as the movie began, the lights went out, and in that instant, Yvette was kidnapped. 

Then, she was taken to the rooftop of the shopping mall. 

The kidnapper’s knife was pressed against Yvette’s neck, and the blood stained her pure white, S**y strapless dress. 

“If you don’t want her to die, bring us Cecilia!” 

Those were the only words the kidnapper had spoken. 

After briefly recounting the situation, Fiona spoke with a heavy tone. “Ceci, I’m calling you not to ask you to come and exchange yourself for Yvie. I just thought that you have a lot of resources, and you might be able to think of a way to save her.” 

Cecilia replied, “Fiona, let me think about it. I’ll call you back in a moment.” 

“Okay, I’ll be waiting for your message.” 

“By the way, Fiona, try to delay the kidnappers and tell them I’m on my way back to Quilton. I can cooperate if they need to talk to me or track my location.” 

Even by helicopter, it would take more than two hours to travel from Acocester to Quilton.

Thinking that it was not the right time to talk about that, Cecilia advised Fiona further before hanging up the phone. 

She was convinced that the incident was directly linked to Wolf Killer, so she immediately called Charlie. 

“You probably haven’t gone to sleep yet, have you? Let’s meet up. I have some questions about your pharmaceutical company that need answering.” 

Charlie could sense the icy tone in Cecilia’s voice. 

He replied, “I’m currently with Grandma Elaine at the Shaw residence. You can come back if you want to see me. 

“All right, see you in a bit.” 

After exchanging a few words with the nurse, Cecilia returned to the Shaw residence, 

As soon as she walked in, she heard Elaine’s laughter coming from the courtyard. 

“Zachary, I never thought you had such a sense of humor. You could be a stand–up comedian.” 

As she finished her sentence, she spotted Cecilia approaching swiftly. 

“Ceci, weren’t you supposed to stay at the hospital to take care of

When Cecilia called Charlie earlier, Elaine happened to be in the bathroom and missed their conversation. 

“Grandma Elaine, I’m working with Zachary to expand his pharmaceutical company. But I noticed that there was something wrong with his company, so I came here to ask him 

about it.” 

“Oh, I see. You two go ahead. I’m going to rest now.” 

After Elaine left, Charlie suggested. “Let’s go for a walk by the water–lily pond and have a talk. Maybe we can pick up some raspberries to eat.” 

Cecilia knew that there were housekeepers frequently passing through the living room, which made it inconvenient for them to discuss things. 

She nodded and went to the backyard with Charlie. 

Tonight, she took a long detour.
