Yvette asked so suddenly about his “girlfriend” that Evan didn’t think too much about it. 

“I don’t-” 

After he uttered these words, he suddenly realized that he almost said that he had no girlfriend. 

He reacted quickly and continued, “She’s always out on missions. If she knew something happened to me, she might get distracted and get herself hurt.” 

The brief pause did not arouse Yvette’s suspicion. 

“Then, I’ll hire a caregiver for you, Evan. Take it as thanks for saving me.”
